Just a couple of my thoughts on the film. I thought Nicholas Hault killed it in his role as Nux(knuckles?) and really helped sell the world they were in. All of his dialogue and mannerisms were excellent, and it really helps movies like this to spend a little extra time/money and cast great actors in the smaller roles.

I also can't figure out why, but the Warboys reminded me of the intro to Baz Lurman's Romeo and Juliet with the Montegue and Capulet guys.

For people complaining about the war drums and flamethrowing electric guitar. If anything, that specific scene helped sell me on what I was watching. I feel like it lets you know, yes this movie is bizarre so far, but its on purpose, just go with it.

Finally got to see this. I loved it. Just so perfectly done all the way around. I Agree that Hoult was really good. Tom Hardy is just one of the best actors out there right now and does his thing to perfection. Theron was at her best (and oddly, for me, hottest). Easily my favorite movie of the year so far.

Decided to buy this not having seen it yet (which I never do). Really wanted to see it in the theater, but life was busy at the time.

Don't regret my purchase one bit. Movie was EXCELLENT. Very strange indeed, but everybody sells it extremely well so it's OK. The scene where they drive into the storm was not only insanely beautiful, but Hoult's crazy rant of "oh what a lovely day"... pretty awesome!

And I gotta be honest... I coulda used a little more cow bell... err... guitar player. I thought that was great addition. Crazy convoy of death machines needs to have an electric guitar. I felt like they could have emphasized it a bit more even. Not so much more screen time, but really brought in the guitar riffs a bit louder into the action when the action heated up.

Agreed, more riffs!

Rented it On Demand for a repeat viewing last week. So awesome, still. Seriously thinking about watching it again tonight.

People who were mad about the ludicrous nature of some of the movie have probably never seen a post apocalyptic movie before.

Loved it. Wife hated it, but she's never seen the mad max movies. I think you have to know what you're getting into to really appreciate it.

If you have the time, it is really really worth it to watch all the behind the scenes stuff from the Blu-ray. Someone was kind enough to post them all on YouTube.

Watched this on HBO last night, very disappointed and I liked the original Mad Max movies (well 1 & 2). It was just so over the top it was comical at times. Kinda bummed I was looking forward to it.

Got bored with it. Ended up fast forwarding through some of the action scenes; just felt kind of repetitive.

Aren't pretty much all action films repetitive?

Really liked this movie. It really felt like a natural extension of Road Warrior.

The ironic thing is I can't stand care chases in movies and that's the main focus of this series.

I was done with it about 45 minutes in. At the damn Alamo though so I had to pay before we could leave.

I understand how possibly you could not like the story, chases, etc. What I don't understand is how anyone could not love that world. I'd watch a reality show about weight loss storage auction auctions if it took place in that world. George Miller is my hero.

I wasn't upset, it was just boring. Then they turned around and it got stupid. The camera work, colors, and lighting were nice though.

I'm not really sure what I expected. I'm a huge fan of the first two movies, but this one didn't do much for me.

Felt the same. Stylistically, it was a great flick. But the plot and constant car chase got boring/repetitive after about 45mins

Loved it. It wasn't too much action like the Transformers series but it came close to getting there. Story was pretty bare bones. It was pretty to look at and listen to. Not nearly enough guitar riff guy. If I could put a hood ornament of guitar guy on my car/truck I would.

9/10.

Finally saw this a few months ago and it was good but not great, should have seen it on the big screen. I thought it dragged quite a bit once they got to the Green place then basically had to turn around and go back through the same thing that we had already seen.

The most disappointing part was when my wife said, "I didn't think I would like this as much as I did, since I didn't like the Road Warrior"

It felt like a punch to my gut, I had to re think the entire marriage...didn't like the road warrior...wtf?

For the sake of the children, I am giving her the benefit of the doubt that she's mixed up Mad Max with the road warrior.

I just watched this again a few days. There's so much going on in so many scenes it's fun to see small stuff you've missed previous viewings

I need someone to tell me that rumors of the next Mad Max movie filming this year are 100% verified.

Though I think the article's assumption that Furiosa would be involved are off. That would be very off-brand for Mad Max to have her return.

Don't believe a word of this. I'm not saying that Miller isn't actively working on a follow up - he says he is - but this story is 100% bullsh/t.

Rewatched this last night. Holy ****. This should have won Best Picture. This movie is going to age so well.
