I think Mary not being there changed my opinion of her. Team has to come first in the spring, MUCH LESS against tu. She made the decision to stay at a pro tournament instead of being at the biggest match of the spring so far. Not a good look for her.

Was definitely not what we've come to expect from Mary, but I guess if you look at the fact that Carson missed the entire conference slate, maybe she looked at that and thought this was best for her career? Either way, I hope she doesn't miss anymore conference matches this year (selfishly lol).

Carson missed the entire conference slate because she wasn't cleared yet for eligibility reasons.
When the spring tournament got pushed a few days due to weather, Mary could have pulled out and chose not to.

Agree - just an odd decision.
And even with as close as this team is, I highly doubt that the other girls were good with her decision.
You would know better than most when it comes to conversations and what not. I mean, Mary could have gone pro after last season. But I tend to agree, if it would have been any other match other then TU or UGA I wouldn't have blinked twice. But my opinion has changed a bit regarding Mary as well. Still proud and grateful for her, but it was weird circumstances
My opinion has not changed at all. Maybe it would if we had lost, but we didn't. I just think Mary likes to make it dramatic for us watching and that definitely happened yesterday.

Thanks for the still shot of the 'out' ball where Daria closed it out! Was just as excited when I paused it on slow mo! When an opponent ends a match by putting the ball into the net or a ball many feet long or wide it is obvious but when I saw that I did not realize it was long until Daria reacted to the win! I saved your pic for future enjoyment - and it's a great pic of Daria, too!
Hopefully Mary plays today in Spring. She hasn't played a point since Thursday morning.

Let's hope she takes this title and then focuses on winning her 4th straight regular season SEC team title.

Maybe I missed it. But not making this comeback win over tu a headline is dumber than dumb. It's unforgivable when Texags goes out of its way not to highlight the success of the "lesser" sports in Aggieland!

Carson is the #2 seed and will play against Maddie Sieg tomorrow in the W35 Arcadia, CA. Mary's co-champion from last week and lsu's top two players are on the opposite side of the bracket.

Without overlooking our next two matches, both at home vs Arkansas and OU, Auburn is our next away match. Should be interesting with their ranking, Ava and Jordan.
UVA has a top team resume, but my big problem with them at #1 is the fact that UGA beat them at indoors. A team that has a head to head win like that should clearly be ahead. What I really don't understand is how UGA lost over 10 points in a weekend where they won.
This was my main point. And the head to heads 1-6 weren't even close.

These rankings just aren't good. That UNC win over Georgia is helping several teams.
OU getting no love despite being 8-1 and beating Michigan. That's hurting us too.
Some very fun and awesome news coming from this weekend is that Liz was awarded a scholarship. She has worked so hard and is such a great teammate also played pretty well this past weekend. She has earned it, and we should all be so proud!

I was admittedly one that thought we would replace Ava with someone better. Our other transfers were such massive adds - Carson, Nicole, Salma, and I thought we could add someone that caliber. Almost did (Hovde), but yes, she'd certainly help us right now.
I guess we simply aimed for the home run and ultimately fell a little short without sufficient time to get someone enrolled.
