You have to be kidding me if Mary stayed in Spring. Many of the low level pros playing in that event left because it was so poorly run. They had to cancel the doubles because of that and I'm guessing some of today's singles matches will also be walkovers. The tournament had no indoor backup and was so poorly run that who knows what its future holds. If Mary skips a conference matchup today to stay with that I'll be terribly disappointed. Say it isn't so.
Makes sense. Oh well, is what it is. Not ideal but it's what we have to go with.
Yes - I was thinking the same. Just hard to comprehend but it is her career.
When lineups are submitted one way and then changed lost min, opposing team can change where team is in the lineup.
I can't imagine this was last minute. Mark had to have known unless Mary just completely ghosted him until the last minute.
It will be a look at next year's team - but without Jennifer.
Let's pray we add more. At some point, our lack of facilities will catch up to us. Mark has done well to hold on this long.

Gosh, how many pro tournaments will she get a chance to play in during her career? A BUNCH. How many times to compete against the sips? Nowhere close to that pro tourney number.
But it's done so the girls will simply have to step up today. They can do it !!!

Not all pro events are funded. If they are funded it's usually in the fall. Rarely, in the spring bc they are in season/conference.

Unfortunate on lines 1 and 2 to battle all the way back and not be able to hold serve. Something to work on for sure.
Line 2 drops. Tied it at 3-3 and then lost 3 games in a row.

Winning line 6 is probably not going to happen. Boyer needs to keep that girl out there as long as she can but she's overmatched unfortunately.
I am sure Mark has a plan up his sleeve to fill slots for next year. You guys probably know better than I do but he must have been holding one recently for players that ended up going elsewhere. You know the names. Just ended up losing that battle, darn it.

As good as start as one could hoped. Won 4 first sets at 2,3,4,5..but Lizanne is already off with an L. Need Nicole to take set 2
Hard to question Mark but that is a head scratcher. You're looking for an elite player that would be ok sliding into line 3 or below. I think losing Hovde was quite unexpected.

The lack of a backup plan shocked me. When Joffe lost Joint it took about 30 seconds to fill the spot. Maybe Mark has a surprise up his sleeve.

Where did you come up with 3 scholarships?
Yeah. Unfortunately we don't have any secret players registered and in school currently, so I don't believe there will be any surprises this year.
Mia is playing some really good tennis right now. definitely worth pulling up. I am going back and forth between Mia and Lexington
He's referring to the unused scholarship plus Mary and Jeanette being out today.
