I can't wait till Hamner plays her last match in college. She has got to be hands down the most annoying player I've ever seen. She's good don't get me wrong, but i'm glad we don't have anyone like her on our team.
Also remember the name Merna Refaat. She looks primed to take the 2 line at Auburn this year and ever but talented to compete there as a freshman. I don't think the win over Tomas's will be her only big win this 2024-2025 season.

Here is where we need to see nicole keep her foot on the gas. her opponent is emotionally down, nicole is hitting her shots and playing excellent. we've seen nicole a few times take her foot off the gas and cruise in this scenario, would love to see maturity here and run away with this.

Man, if Vidmanova wins she is going to have a run for her money the way that Savannah Broadus (Pepperdine) is playing. Xu (Virginia) is not an easy out yet broadus only dropped 3 games total. If Brady's is fully healthy, which she looks like she is, and extremely motivated to get a spot in the us open wildcard playoff then Broadus can pull it off

She is a senior and today was likely the last chance she had to get all-american status. With the ivy league schedule she probably won't get it by rankings in the spring.
Anyway, Nicole and Mary are all-americans again.
Nicole showed frustration early in the first set but overcome it. But I think she shows frustration easily and usually battles past it just like today.
Her opponent was really crying late in the second set. Frustration and some pain, probably. But at this level have to try to avoid that because an opponent will really up the pressure!

Mary will play Elaine Chervinsky (Virginia), who i believe played #5 for Virginia last year. She has a great serve and forehand combo but doesn't like long points or the backhand side. Mary definitely has an edge here. The way Mary played today is an indication that she finds a way to win and win somewhat convincingly even when she doesn't get to play the style she wants.
Nicole will play Connie Ma (stanford). Great player, super talented and hard to beat, yet the one time Nicole and her have played Nicole won. I was able to watch Ma's match yesterday and she struggled a bit against the girl when the girl was ending the points early and going for her shots (and making them). If Nicole can play at the level she's played so far especially today, I give her the slight edge. Either way I believe it will be a good match.

A&M, Auburn, North Carolina and Stanford each have 2 players in the round of 16. 6 from the SEC and 7 from the ACC in that round.
Daria won more sets this week than the entire t.u. team.
