No surprise. She's crazy good - but still not as good as Joint. Joint would be favored head to head, but I'd still take Mary 10 out of 10 times to lead our team.

Alex Gruskin mentioned after Mary won a few days ago that she jumped up something like 150 - very nice!
Mia must have played late last night - saw this morning she was defeated by the Japanese girl.
Looks like Carson plays top seed German Maria.

As of now it looks like action starts next week. Mary will play in Tyler and Nicole (and Salma) will play in Hilton Head. That could easily change.

12man.com usually has the tournaments but I have no idea what girls will play where. A W100 can usually assume Mary but after that not sure. Incomplete info, lack of press releases, etc. was common and I joined TexAgs last June (I lurked for a year before that) to ask questions to 'fill in the blanks' and you guys are great about answering them - thanks!

Incomplete info, lack of press releases, etc. was common and I joined TexAgs last June (I lurked for a year before that) to ask questions to 'fill in the blanks' and you guys are great about answering them - thanks!

Yeah the 12thman website won't do press releases or info about pro tournaments. They're not ncaa/ita sanctioned events which is why. It surprised me this year when they posted the fall pro schedule for our girls. In my memory this is the first year they did that on the website, previously I had to snoop through all the itf tournaments and see who was registered.

I played recreational tennis only and that was years ago. Not a single lesson but taught myself - so probably a ton of bad habits! Have followed Aggie women's tennis for years but usually only via press releases and watching matches via StatBroadcast. My old computer would not allow me to watch video matches on the Internet so last Spring was the first time to do so after getting a new laptop. Got to see all of the NCAA tourney last Spring and have the Cracked Raquets video of the epic matches vs Georgia saved. Last I checked all the links to all the matches at Stillwater are still good, too! First pro tourneys to watch were this past summer. But I have seen many matches since Summer, really enjoy them, and plan to watch many more. On that note, thanks to everyone for answering my questions about when the girls play, who is playing and where, etc. !!
I have built up a few saved sites so, perhaps, will not ask for so many links to tourneys, matches, etc. in the future!

A little tidbit yall might find interesting about the fall schedule moving forward after chatting with the team:
We will not see our international players (Mia, Nicole, and Lulu) really participate in any NCAA qualifier events moving forward. Nicole wanted to qualify for NCAAs but she got sick at All-Americans and got sick again during regionals. She won't go for NCAAs moving forward. With this new singles and doubles format being in the fall, it basically provides no incentive for non-americans to play the Fall schedule. Our girls would be doing themselves and the program better by playing better competition in pro tournaments, which is what you're seeing. For our American girls a spot in NCAAs means a shot at a US open wildcard. Mary is locked in on this idea and is pushing really hard to earn her spot in the playoff (new format by USTA) that will happen after the spring. We should continue to see potentially Lexington, Jennette, and Daria push for a spot in NCAAs because of that benefit. This is going to be the new norm for our girls and the fall schedule moving forward really. If a girl wants to play NCAAs then she can try to qualify but our International players will most likely stay playing pro tournaments (outside of All-Americans)

When I first starting watching Ags in pro tourneys over the summer I used to wonder why I saw only a couple at a time but I have slowly figured it out. Your comments really add to my 'scheduling and why' knowledge - thank you!

College is becoming more and more of a prep for the pro tour for the best players. Proving that you can help develop top juniors will help recruiting tremendously. Hopefully Carson, Mary and others will have pro success.
You see this with TCU on the men's side. It's a shame our recruiting has fallen off some on the men's side. Rinderknech and Krajicek have done amazingly well.
I like this trend because the quality is so high, but hope it does not become one and done as the norm.

Tyler W100 qualifying schedule is out. Lexington starts the day with the first match on center court at 10:00 AM. She faces Loyola junior Chloe Henderson. Henderson has an ACC Championship and NCAA runner-up with NC State in 2023 (she went 1-5 in singles on the year). This will be Henderson's fifth straight year to lose the opening round match in this tournament.
Mary is not listed yet, I am assuming she was bumped up to the main draw.

Darn, I thought Nicole was playing later but just checked and found I missed it.
She was defeated by 16 year old Ishika Ashar. Grabbed the first set 6-1 but lost both the second set 2-6 and the tiebreaker 6-10.

Salma was a grad transfer that we had in 2022. she was absolutely amazing! started the season playing #2 doubles and #3 singles but when Carson went out with injury she and Jayci goldsmith moved up to #1 doubles and she played #2 singles the rest of the season. She was not only an excellent player but an even better teammate. we will always love Salma!
After I typed in who is she I thought it must be a recent Aggie so looked her up - she was! Felt silly but I was not yet following Aggie tennis day to day back then. Thanks for filling me in !!!!

I see Mary will play #2 seed 28 year old Louisa Chirico in the first round. See no time yet.
Lexington will play the second match on center count and Mary will follow after that. Lexington will move to Court #2 for a doubles match in the afternoon. Plenty of time for the staff to get the cameras working.
