Yup I guess it is official! A&M Athletics posted an Assistant Coach Hiring Position! I'm really sad to see Coach Hon go! He was liked by the athletes and was just beginning to turn our sprints around!! With that in mind I have no doubt that Pat Henry will upgrade the position and find a great coach! Let's see what we do, a move has to be soon I suppose!

I think the only issue with some of the older coaches at A&M including Vince is that have they don't have a great social media presence which seems to be a big factor in recruiting these days. However, Coach Anderson is a great coach and one of the best in the business.
There is still no details on Coach Hon situation. Was he relieved of his position? Did he leave? Was he on a two year contract that ended and they are going thorough the whole hiring process again? So many questions and yet no answers as usual.

Idk what is going on but I just became aware of Hon situation. I wonder if it has anything to do with FSU head t&f women's coach Kelly Phillips retiring from the position after 6 years. He was probably on her staff and maybe she made a recommendation for him. Her resignation was July 2 or about there.

Would you guys want Bev Kearney or has that ship sailed in your minds. I agree that upwardly mobile social media presence is needed and crucial. The woman though got results and could bring in the sprinters Also she settled with UT for $600k.

After she left UT she never coached afterwards. She eventually left Texas and now resides in California. Jessica could change this place to 400 U but I don't think she would be a coach on paper to put in charge of short sprints. The person would need to handle hurdles also which is a factor to consider for the vacancy. Up and coming is prob the way to go but if Henry only planned to be here a few more years then that would be the main reason I would consider Bev for the short duration of Henry's tenure. They are both great enough to coexist but I don't forsee Bev being willing to be an assistant under a new head coach.

That makes sense! I was thinking if Henry decides to go with a veteran predecessor who can take his spot in a few years or some young "cool" coach! I believe Henry is in win now mode, so he's going to do whatever he can to get star recruits on campus! Hopefully we get some news soon!!

Thinking CJ..... Ags tried to get him a few years ago. We could use some hurdlers.

On another note. I think the NIL may have just leveled the unfair advantage ARKY had over other schools with their free money. Get a few CC girls and Boys then a few Sprint kids and PH will; be back on top!!

Isn't Chris Johnson the coach of Shamier Little and also a good friend of Vince Anderson?
If he comes to Aggieland, it would certainly be a great hire.
He has done a great job with Arkansas sprint and hurdle group.
