yeah we need to make it up elsewhere, right now we're projected a 4th and 5th in the long jump equaling 9 points... a finish better than that helps our cause tremendously! Charokee finishing better than her 5th ranking (which we all know she could) would help as well! Deborah Acquah needs to make this meet of her life. She has performed well on the big stage before so I'm counting on her to hopefully earn two medals! Or we can hope Arkansas has a rough day in the prelims

Long Jump is beginning, prior to the meet Deborah Acquah is ranked 4th and Tyra Gittens 5th! Behind Ruth Usoro and Monae Nichols of Texas Texh and and Tara Davis of ut! It will be a close battle and WHATS important to follow is that Arkansas' long jump runways are difficult to challenge and rough for jumpers new to it. The 3 girls above have yet to jump there this year, although Ruth Usoro is a world class jumper and it will be rough to catch her! I'll keep us updated!

And for the diehard track fans who are watching Arkansas as well, they have two girls in the pole vault, Campbell is ranked 7th and McCorkle 10th, so let's hope they can't improve on that! Both are over the first height along with 10 other girls!
