While the season is still young, the fact that this lineup is one of the tops in the league in hard hit balls is extremely encouraging as that will lead to better offensive numbers.

It's very bad down here in Houston. Fans are starting to seriously question Crane and the front office for what their vision is for this team and for their future. The lineup is still pretty old and aging, but not bad. But the pitching staff is shocking. It just does not scare anyone outside of Hunter Brown and they are injured as all get out.

The Astros still develop players very well, but it's starting to feel like they are developing guys into average MLB players because the overall talent just isn't there anymore. Instead of developing guys to be top end starters or position players, they are developing guys who are back end of the rotation pieces or utility guys. Just not the same.

The weird part with Heim is how disinterested he's looked on several plays these past few years. There's the example a couple of posts above and some from the past 2 seasons in Texas. It's like he caught Anthony Rendon disease.

I think he's a big dude playing a physically demanding position and the long 2023 season/post-season used him up. Wore down and just can't stay locked in

I don't remember seeing it posted here. But I could have just missed it. I just happened to catch a little of the pregame show on either Friday or Saturday maybe and they mentioned he got hurt on the swing.

supposedly a minor hamstring injury, I believe. One of the beats said he is expected to play tomorrow vs the LHP Springs.
