Article by the Associated Press up on ESPN today, citing MLB players have drawn walks in 9.8% of plate appearances so far this season, which would be the highest rate since 1950. A lot of chatter that ABS and slightly adjusted strike zones are the reason behind it.

Good. The strike zones have been horrific the past few years, and its been borderline unwatchable.

Baseball Savant is saying Cruz's HR off the top of the foul pole would be a HR in 15/30 parks. How? Is that saying the wind would've pushed it foul in the other 15? Distance-wise that's a HR everywhere.

Yeah I don't care much either, and I actually think it's hurt us as a team a bit because we have two or three guys who already are known for walking guys a bit (Gore, Leiter and Rock). If it leads to more runs and guys on base I am all for it.

Probably just an oddity of how they model at the margins of fair/foul.... but maybe if the foul pole was deeper it would have had more time to hook foul? Yes i realize it would have angled out more as well.
