He has on that guy that used to be President of the Marlins again to give context to the Daktronics deal.

Key points: Multiple emails from Clippers to Daktronics trying to get them to use Kawhi in some way after the deal was made. He contrasted that with Ballmer's ESPN interview where he said he made the introduction to Aspiration, as is legal, then Aspiration and Kawhi were off to the races to do whatever they decided and he and the Clippers had no part or knowledge of what Kawhi did with his endorsement deals.

They also found the Governor of Rhode Island at the opening night of the Clippers in seats that cost $2M/year. The things that come with that seat (crazy food, chef, bartender, etc) are insane. The Governor of RI was wearing a RIFC soccer jersey (team Kawhi is a top secret part owner) and did pay back for the ticket - a measly $650

The Marlins guy also went into detail that the team would always know about endorsement deals that were significant, but don't care about small beans things like local car dealerships, etc. They only get involved when the company would go to the team and say something like "Hey, player owes us a dozen signed balls and we haven't received them yet" and never is going the other way "Hey you need to use my player in an activation or ad." It is always about the player not wanting to fill their obligation, which as Spurs fans, we know all about Kawhi not fulfilling his obligations.

Pablo said a week or two ago that he expects ballmee to get out relatively unscathed.

I think it's obvious what happened and Kawhi Leonard having multiple no-show endorsement deals and his uncle getting paid under the table by the Clippers before Kawhi was even on the Clippers is enough circumstantial evidence to show that they were making illegal backroom deals.

If the NBA doesn't do anything, why would any team not participate in similar schemes?
