I think that's correct. I think Miller had a 2-y deal. But all 2W contracts are unguanteed so they can be flipped around easily.

I think he's going to be a good rotation player in a year or two. Guards 1-5. 6'8 barefoot, 7'1 wingspan. 217 at combine. Off the charts agility.

Yeah, he looked good. Shot looks a little weird but he made 2 threes.
Overall, I thought the rookies looked pretty good. I like that they always get a little warmup here before going to Vegas. Hopefully, they get the rust off here and can really show what they got in Vegas.

I think Reed will too. Goldin just looked taller and longer, more of a throwback center, Goldin took up a lot of space in the paint. Reed was quicker, more agile. I don't know if either will develop range to space the floor better.

Overall, the Spurs summer league team isn't very good. Not many scorers. Brown is playing good defense. Gillespie needs to adjust to playing against more athletic bigs.

Excited about Maliq Brown

That was elevation! Seen a lot of clips and read about Brown showing out to be a great prospect. His free throw percentage 59% and 3 point percentage 26% were not good in college. But I keep reading and watching clips about how versatile he is and from what I read a good shooter, even though his college starts don't back that up.

The "Ace of South Korea" Lee Hyungjung or whatever it is, hope he at least makes the g league. Read he can really shoot it.

Brown is really interesting. He can move laterally like a PG but is big (6'8 barefoot, 220lbs, 7'1 wingspan, 9ft reach) and has great defensive instincts. He's great at staying in front of guards, but also defending post ups of bigs and can legitimately guard 1-5. He's not the pure athlete that Carter is, and he does make some dumb fouls, but I think he has better defensive instincts (he's also 2-3 years older and played 2 years at Duke and 2 at Syracuse, so a ton more experience.) He's really good at disrupting the passing lanes without just outright gambling and losing his man. When we are playing the press, he would be one of the best on the team at it instantly. He's really great both on ball and off ball. Lots of players can really only do one or the other at a high level.

Offensive, I have no real hope he becomes a shooter, but his shot doesn't look awful. He does pass well and finds the holes to cut, which is an important skill.

Overall, I think he is a better defender than Sochan, but the offensive skills might not be as good, which means he won't get on the floor much. I think he can work in the dunker's spot and I think he might have more BBIQ than Jeremy.

In the draft process, the most common comparisons I saw were Draymond (can't score, but can pass, and can defend everyone) and Nic Claxton that can defend 1-5. Probably not bad comparisons. Claxton is taller, but less athletic. Draymond is shorter but elite BBIQ and more bulk.

Interesting: Rui had a TON less value in the league than most expected. Full MLE level was 4/64.
