Love it.

Naji Marshall is really good at basketball. Caleb Martin is good at basketball. Max Christie is good at basketball.
People who think the roster isn't primed for a run next year don't know anything about basketball.
It is wild how confident you are given that you have the bet on the health of so many guys who are injury prone and old. Especially when Kyrie is missing a chunk of the year, if not a majority of the year.shack009 said:

I'm not betting on the health of the team, but if it's healthy, it's really good.
I understand that none of y'all watched the game, but there was good basketball happening. That was without any sort of defensive rim presence.

Me noticing the roster is still good is not defending the front office.
Not noticing the roster is still good, when healthy, is to not know basketball.
Don't do that. You can have a disagreement with someone without doing the "do you even watch bro" schtick.shack009 said:

I would love fears on this team. Dude is a baller.Guitarsoup said:
FWIW, y'all should watch Jeremiah Fears from OU. Gets to the rim at a high rate (~37%) and does a great job drawing fouls. He will probably be the best PG available when the Mavs draft, unless you want to roll the dice with Nolan Traore (better passer, scoring is a big mess)
He balled out against the Ags!Guitarsoup said:

Never get involved in a land war in Asia and never try to out tank the Spurs.zgolfz85 said:
Dang we needed to lose this one
3rd best player on the Miami Heat finals team. Wrong again. This guy sucks ****.shack009 said:
You could tell he's a much better defender than grimes and he can guard much bigger players than Grimes can. Did some nice things guarding KD.
He had a bad shooting night. His shot has always looked like that. He also had a sick and-1 attacking a close out. You can tell he's good at basketball.

Not at the moment, but I'm not expecting them presently.PatAg said:Is the healthy roster in the room with usshack009 said:

this is nails and was a huge miss from ownership. The overwhelming majority of Mavs fans would have taken the unknown with Luka for a dozen more years over a near-term championship with purgatory on the backend. I think this was severely underestimated by ownership. I exclude Nico there because I don't think Nico cares. If Nico gets a near term ring, it's a resume builder and he wasn't here for the long-term anyways...which becomes more and more obvious by the day.PatAg said:
an overlooked part of this is the front office is absolutely going to attempt to use the injuries as an excuse for why the trade didnt work out.
Which when you breakdown all their reasoning, doesn't wash out and I hope the media doesn't let them do it.
(they will because they all want to keep their access)
The basketball fan in me (mavs fan is dormant) would have been interested to see how the roster performed
A lot of people, myself included, even said as much, that it doesnt matter if we win the finals this year, we would still be mad about Luka.
Which to me means everyone acknowledged that the team would still be good on paper, and that AD is a great player.
But some might argue trading for a player like Davis with his injury history, and the reasoning they gave out to justify it, was pretty stupid in the first place. (this kind of just applies to all lanky bigs for the most part)
Just the fact that that idiot Nico couldn't put aside his ego or whatever to see what the Finals team from EIGHT MONTHS ago could do this postseason with the offseason additions that were brought here as complimentary to Luka's exact style of play...zgolfz85 said:this is nails and was a huge miss from ownership. If we're correct there and the ownership group did completely miss on the average fan's sentiment (near term ship vs Luka long-term), it's just concrete evidence that this new group has not poured themselves into the city and fanbase as any savvy and quality ownership group would.
