I thought our starting 11 was pretty good, but I don't understand how Haji Wright and Shaq Moore are allowed to see any playing time. Use Ferreira or Reyna, Scalley or even Yedlin.

Are those really the best 11 players in the United States of America?
I mean seriously...we have over 330,000,000 people in this country, and that is it? I've seen better finishers in the adult league of BCS! Or is this about the players that have been coddled through the various "elite" systems in the US...
Even freakin' Portugal has Ronaldo and still keeps Pepe (39) as captain...
I feel like this hype is just like the Freddy Adu situation where "the future will be exciting."
Ok, rant over.
Is there sometimes a pay to play limitation with soccer in the states? Sure. Would an all out star in your Sunday adult league have been recognized by someone along the way if they were as good as you think they are? yes.Kunkle for Congress TX-34 said:

Then why aren't they making millions playing in Europe if they are that good?
Valtrex_11 said:Most of the starting 11 plays for big European clubs so you know better than them? Not picking on you but I think the starting 11 is pretty good some big clubs shelling out a lot of cash for their services.Kunkle for Congress TX-34 said:

What we need is more depth. Our starting 11 can play with anyone. Hell, I'd argue our starting 11 played like the best team through 60 minutes in our group. It's the final 30 minutes when you need quality from the bench that we lose a lot.

The starting 11 in the first halves look like the third best team behind France and Brazil. Then the second half starts/subs start coming in…
I HATED these subs...Reyna is available, Scally is available. Sometimes I have no idea how GGG has this jobTHE_CHOSEN_ONE said:

Umm guys we've scored two goals this World Cup. CP assisted the first and scored the second. No, our hopes and dreams aren't shot if he doesn't play against NL, but… that game gets waaay harder than it already is if he doesn't.

Gio and Aaronson are both very capable goal creators. I would be way more worried if we lost Adams, Dest, or Robinson.

England brings on subs who start for Arsenal and Liverpool. We don't have that yet. But our starting 11 can play with just about anyone.
To the odd rant about better finishers in the BCS adult league, I do agree that we are one finisher short. But IMHO at this level those are very few and far between. Hopefully we can find one in the next four years.

No Pulisic vs NED = no way to win.

Will Greggory allow Gio to get actual playing time?
