It appears that United is going to push hard for Frenkie de Jong. The story goes that de Jong doesn't have a great relationship with Xavi and would be interested in reuniting with ten Hag. I'm not sure I buy it (he's really going to step down from CL to Conference League?) but maybe he's just super in to rebuilds.
Additionally, ten Hag has publicly stated that he wants Ronaldo to stay. That and he admitted that he had other opportunities at other clubs with better foundations. But he wants to fix United and he feels like the club will give him the authority to do so.

I love how it was initially reported that the deal was done. Of course it wasn't. We will negotiate until the last day of transfers and either overpay or not get any deal done.

The soccer IQ both on and off the pitch feels like it's at the lowest point in the last 10 years. In hindsight bringing in Rangnick instead of leaving Carrick as interim was a huge mistake.
