Amazingly, the win puts us in 4th though Arsenal are only 4 points back with 3 games in hand. Still, it's frankly ludicrous that this team is even sniffing a top 4 place. I can only assume that the March schedule will kneecap us but...dare to dream. The EPL really is just City miles above Liverpool who are themselves miles above everyone else.

With the squad as it is currently formed, I think United are a better counterattack team than they are a possession team. I think Ragnick knows that too, which is why he was happy to cede possession to Brighton.

Road matches would be happy with a 2-2-3 record for 9 points. Home matches against lesser clubs are going to be the determining factor. Club should go at least 4-0-2 in those 6 matches, for 14 points, and ideally they get another win and get to 16 points. Finish with 25 more points and they should get the 4th position, but who knows if this club can be consistent enough to claim the 25.

Spurs fan here, I was doing similar math this morning to see if 4th was realistic or not. It's not. I figured we could drop 8 points the rest of the schedule unless everyone else falls apart as well.

Someone has to get 4th but I can't imagine fans of Man U, Arsenal or Spurs think their team is good enough to do it
