I do not understand why we insist on not having any insurance on the bench. Have someone like Alexis or Lacazette available. If you don't need them, don't use them. But we need someone right now and we have no options.

Because Wenger. He has consistently eroded the quality of this team, and it is has come to this.

I don't know that the first team performs any better so far today than that on the pitch. Not because of the players, but because of Wenger. It's as frustrating as a Sumlin coached football team.

1st time losing in the 3rd round of the FA Cup since before Wenger was even hired. I remember the last time and this sucks worse

Maybe this 3rd round loss in the FA Cup, combined with no CL this season and a likely worse finish in the PL this year than last (meaning NO euro competition next season) will get him out of the way. But with Kroenke at the helm, I would expect no change at the top.

But there is the major problem. They aren't gonna bring in someone better than Wenger with Kroenke in charge of the club. Anyone that actually wants to spend money to bring in better players will doubtfully be considered.

Pitiful match! Screw Kroenke. Glad Rams lost yesterday.

My only hope for replacing Wenger right now would be Thomas Tuchel.

Few bits of news & rumors popping up the last couple days...

Manager - occasional rumors that we are talking to Ancelotti about taking over for Wenger. I'd assume any move won't happen until the summer but with us being on the verge of losing 2 star players on top of our current 6th place, a is very plausible that Wenger is out this summer whether it's Ancelotti or someone else.

Alexis - supposedly City has offered 20m GBP and many on their side expect him in blue before the end of Jan. Wenger says he won't sell without a replacement.

Alexis replacement - heavy rumors yesterday of us paying the release clause (approx 25m GBP) for Boca WF Cristian Pavon. Today we are supposedly meeting with the agent for Bordeaux WF Malcom. There is also rumor that Monaco has approved the sell of Lemar for 60m GBP. Also been linked to Leon Bailey but I don't think that one is serious.

Ozil - rumors of Barca, ManU as well as signing a new contract

Wilshire - supposedly we are working to re-sign. Delays are due to us attempting to get him to take a paycut on his base and include add-ons for performance/playing time.

Walcott - Southampton and Everton want to buy. Theo wants a loan. Wenger set asking price at 30m GBP.

Coq - headed to Valencia (seen quotes of 10-12m GBP as well as a report this morning of 22m). Rumor that ElNeny may be next out the door.

OG - being approached by Besiktas and a Chinese club. Seems to be interested in leaving for more PT but says he won't leave just for the money.

MF help - rumored to be after N'Zonzi, Rakatic, Ozyakup and/or Rafinha to provide additional cover in MF.

CB help - rumored to be working a deal for Jonny Evans for added cover at CB. Supposedly trying to sweeten the offer with Debuchy.
