Oh wow, I forgot this all happened at a post game presser... or was it in the middle of a game? oh wait- was it was at media days? After practice?

At least when it pertains to penalties, coaches either argue the penalty was wrong and can call for a review... or they just view it as a good call.
They acknowledge it... and make for a correction.
If a player gets called for the same Unsportsmanlike penalty 3 weeks in a row and the coach doesn't correct for it... he tells the player the penalty is fine and the team is willing to accept it.
If the AD likes the job the coach is doing, he supports the coach. If he doesn't, he corrects for it.
If an AD keeps a coach that embarrasses him, then the next in line is responsible. If the AD is doing a terrible job... it likely bleeds over into other sports. You don't have to like it. Just the way organizations work.
Plenty of bankrupt companies at the hands of a few, and everyone suffered. Almost like Enron. Lots of innocent carnage to good folks.
That is how sports work.

And based on the last couple of pleas from Bjork and the TMF, they're not doing much to dispel that comparison.

Ending all support because you do not like or appreciate their rhetoric, actions and attitudes is not "hate"

The bigger issue is the subject is dividing Aggies. And we don't need help finding ways to do that...
I've been to hundreds of A&M football games dating back to 1968. Living in B/CS all but 7 years, I've also been to hundreds more basketball and baseball games. I'll take my own advice thank you, not someone else's, especially one who thinks this about "virtue signaling". If that's what you think this is, you're oblivious to what's going on here. People are withholding their money because they're fed up, and they don't give a howdy flip if someone else sees it and makes them look cool. The reaction is visceral, it's not for show. If things change, we'll be back. If they don't, we'll be doing other things.technoviking said:AgDotCom said:He's comparing our athletic program and its funding to Enron.technoviking said:

They're completely different situations. If you guys are so offended by what has transpired over the last couple of weeks, then please do what you have have been virtue signaling about and actually leave the A&M system. You clearly do not want to be apart of it. So spend all that money you love to flaunt about virtually and do something else with your lives.
Or support Texas A&M athletics.

The TMF has a priority points system. Well, so do I, and several other things have moved ahead of A&M athletics.

Welcome to the club. I quit giving to the University when they quit giving Legacy points. The handwriting was o the wall. No one even knows what that is/was now.

it would be fair to ask the TMF/AD the obvious question...
what did you do with all the money?
$200 million in annual revenue...and now in desperate straits?

That's great. You've clearly made up your mind and the entity that you helped to fund for years isn't what you like anymore.
So do as you say you will and leave. Unless you decide to come back, which you also awkwardly said you would.

I have wondered that myself these last few days.... We were second only to Texas in revenues for our NCAA programs, and you would think that would put us in a good to great position. Revenues minus expenses should be putting us in a decently comfortable position.... especially compared to other schools. Hell, Alabama is running a deficit and they're way better in football than we are.

Considering that this is A&M and there is definitely an element of the good ol' boy club still present.... I am open to outright fraud and embezzlement.

Though now the donation money has to be made up from somewhere else. Or, we just a male and female sport and call it a day.
Truth be told... let's start cutting expenses now before Fall 2020 tuition is due.

A lot of people know what this is now. You don't. And that's okay.
I anticipate that kneeling will occur during "The Spirit," and that will upset people as much as if done during the National Anthem.spherical said:Hawk2007 said:
TMF and TAMU administration is going to have another headache on their hands if the football season kicks off, fans dressed in maroon and white in the stands... and the team is kneeling during the National Anthem.
Those images are going to cost a few donation dollars.
The team has never been on the field for the anthem

I pulled my donations when they kicked me out of my season ticket seats I'd had for 19 years. Their excuse was, I didn't have enough points ($$$$$) in my portfolio for them. I told them "NO MORE, I'M DONE" and they could take those tickets, my 12Th Man donations, my Letterman donations and shove'm. This is NOT the same University I've loved since I was 9 years old.
Don't bet on it. People are starved for sports, no more so than the Aggie community.war hymn aggie said:

Since your in California (probably supporting Nancy), tell us why UCLA has the same percentage of black students as A&M and yet that university sits in a city that has the 6th highest black population in the U.S.?CaliforniaAggie510 said:

How much of a fan would you be if we were dead last in every sport?
And I will preemptively call BS if you say you would be just as much of one as if we weren't.
