Well said. The letter is not faked by Sumlin or his family, and to suggest so is absurd. The letter is despicable, and whether written by a Texas Aggie fan or not, was definitely written by some cowardly, ignorant piece of pond scum who I hope is found and punished. This crap should have ended generations ago. Denying any of this is foolish.

Where's the proof that this was an Aggie? How do we know that this isn't another school's fans who are attempting to take advantage of the situation?

Considering how some people fake racial incidences for attention, how do we know this isn't an example of such to divert attention?

Let's assume, however, that for purposes of our discussion, the letter is real, that it attacks Coach Sumlin because of his race, and that it was sent with evil sincerity by a true, reprehensible, intolerable bigot: Should we now abandon the pages and pages, thread-upon-thread, of non-racially motivated analysis of Coach Sumlin's performance Sunday night --and, for years before--because ONE horribly-despicable bigot sent a letter that was not based on reason, but on prejudice?
