Like you, hawg, I am a lawyer. We know how important perception is, with juries and with voters. The damage may be done in the public arena--as you say--but I hope the AD and BOR still evaluate Sumlin on his merits, without regard to the "letter" that could be real, or, worse, a fraud.

It's way to easy to cause a stir these days. If it happened then the person is a POS, but to instantly react and cry all Aggies are racist is what's wrong with the world today. Use your heads...it could easily be anyone or fan of any school...or even a strategic move to deflect blame. I'd certainly hope that isn't the case, and don't believe it to be, but who can even know? With that in mind...if you instantly assumed this was an Aggie and therefore all Aggies are racist, then you are A part of the problem.

Who has the most to gain from such a letter being "delivered" to the Sumlins? Who has the most to gain from tarnishing the image of Texas A&M? What would ANY Aggie or Aggie fan have to gain?

College football is big, big business. We have many enemies who smell blood after our embarrassing loss, and I don't think for a second that they wouldn't hesitate to execute a false flag stunt to damage the image of Texas A&M. This type of crap is very, very t.u.-esque. It is also quite possible that this is an inside job. Desperate people do desperate things.

I do not believe this was "sent" by an Aggie. There are too many red flags here and it looks as fake as a pair of $10 Oakley sunglasses.

I also have no doubt that they have received hate mail like this before. I mean look at all the completely inept coaching decisions in just the past few years alone. And we have a lot of passionate fans.

However, this is the first time Sumlin has been in danger of losing his job, and the timing of the post to SM is interesting. I will also say that a Mother who doesn't want her children to see this probably shouldn't be posting this on SM. And Charlene doesn't strike me as stupid - she knew exactly what the result would be

So this will end up being a black eye for A&M, especially because her inept husband is going to lose his job this year. And there is zero doubt now that this is going to be an ugly divorce. A typed letter and handwriting is a non issue
Wasn't marked by sending USPS
Does alleged Country club still use Stamps, or Pitney Bowes type machine?

A coach who is very close the the vest in information released.
