How is the information that is posted on here detrimental or damaging to our program? This is a college football fan site, that is in large part read by our fans. No media outlets are running stories that originate on a TexAgs message board, or any other fan site message board for that matter. Additionally, while recruits may read the boards, do you honestly believe that they are basing the most important decision of their life on some random person's perception?
If you don't want to read what is being said or don't agree with it, just say so and move on or don't read it. Whether the info being posted is true or not, it's is interesting and some of it actually makes sense and explains some of the crap that we have witnessed over the past couple of seasons. Unfortunately, perception is reality.
Actually, I think it can be detrimental. These recruits, do in fact, look at Texags and especially the FREE board. I have been corresponding with one, through Twitter, and it really does get them asking questions. When there is so much speculation, like this topic has, they start to lose confidence in what they are hearing from the coaches. Just my opinion, from my experience.
Not sure if serious. If so, I didn't realize you were the ambassador to the university via Twitter for recruits. How does that conversation go btw and how much of a recruiting effect do you personally take credit for in your social circles?
I can't wait for the day that a recruit comes forward and says, I wanted to commit to A&M but I read a bunch of fans on TexAgs thought their coach was incompetent. Any truly negative crap being put into the kid's heads is from the opposing recruiter.
I am not an "Ambassador" in official terms, and I don't take any credit. I support HS Athletics and College Athletics. I especially support our local schools and Texas A&M. I never said coach was incompetent, but you can bet your tail they watch this board, and they believe a lot of things, when much of it is ranting and complaining, with no factual basis. You would be naive to think other coaches, media, fans, etc, dont use this site against us at times. TexAgs is one of the 10 largest fan boards in the US.
