Moorehead may need a little help coaching the receivers up to that next level (crisper routes, fewer drops, coming back to help the QB when he's running for his life).

You're right. I never read what his salary is now or what the buy out would be. When hired in 2013, news said he was making $350,000.

He would solidify things offensively and yea he might give kids on the fence something to think about... Look at what the frogs did in the Alamo Bowl... That's still fresh on everyone's mind.
So Hyman voiced public support for Sumlin just before he was fired. Young has now voiced public support for Sumlin and Meacham has once again been leaked as the name of the OC. Either the tide turned in their favor and they are trying to control the narrative or they lost the "Great Regent/BMA War of 2016" and they are preemptively objecting to rhe upcoming changes.

I think we are going to see Kirk on speed sweeps or in the wildcat. He got a dozen yards on his only carry in the wildcat which is why we didn't use it again.

If all of this turmoil leads to Meachum as OC momentum does a 180 and the rumors circulating actually benefit A&M.
"All this bad stuff was supposed to happen last time and we got Meachum, don't worry, we got this" as a response to any negative recruiting in the future.

in the non Texags world, nobody realizes any of this so called turmoil is going on. landing Meacham to replace Spav, adding Trevor Knight and rumors of Sumlin trying to be lured away by the NFL are all positives. Our 65 year old AD who still loves SC retiring is not a big deal. Most had no idea who our AD was.
