I don't think the Fatburger Grill that's in CS now is the same as the Fattburger that was there in the 80's.

The one in the 80's wasn't a chain, and had pretty decent burgers, IIRC.

I was tending bar at the Bean when a guy's arm caught fire from a mishandling of a flaming Dr. P. The bar was on fire. He was on fire and too drunk and focused on his drink to realize the fire was creeping towards his head, while my new co-worker--cute girl--was delicately swatting at his arm saying, "Uh, sir? sir?"

Yes, Fatburger was terrible. But like Gumby's, they would deliver on campus after that all night drinking binge. And both were damn good at 2am.

But I agree, nothing beat Cowhop when Mom sent a ten dollar bill!

no campus theater was at end of northgate became shadow canyon

Charlie's Grocery, The Cowhop, Dudley's Draw and The Dixie Chicken. Charlie's was great for getting a pint of Blue Bell ice cream during a study break! The Cowhop for burgers and fries, and we all know about Dudley's Draw and The Chicken.

No class years, never attended, lived in Snook since I was born in 1984. Well, technically Centerline, but we call that the Snook area.

The Cinemark has sure changed since it was Hollywood 16 way back in the day.
