Kairious requested appointment of counsel. I know APs can make decent money, but I bet they are mostly judgment-proof. Good luck getting money from them or getting a lawyer to take that case. I imagine the softball league gets sued instead.

Don't be obtuse. He has a great case against some deadbeats. Their target is not going to be the deadbeats though, because plaintiffs' attorneys don't work for free. They'll go after the league, the softball team, etc. Sure, the criminals will be involved in the case (if for no other reason than the target defendants will make sure they are brought in), but this is not like the Goldmans using a civil judgment to chase OJ around for book royalties. I doubt the victim is independently wealthy to finance the litigation and the Halls won't have the reachable assets.

Man linked to homicide of antique dealer near Round Top dies by suicide at historic church
Fayette County authorities say the man forced a rideshare driver at gunpoint to take him from Houston to the church before a standoff with law enforcement
Sheriff Keith Korenek said the incident unfolded Tuesday, Oct. 27, at St. Martin's Catholic Church along State Highway 237, just days after investigators discovered the body of a 59-year-old California man nearby.
The victim was Arik Lerner, an antique dealer from San Diego, California, according to the Fayette County Record.
An autopsy conducted by the Travis County Medical Examiner's Office determined the preliminary cause of death was a gunshot wound. The death was classified as a homicide.
During the investigation, authorities identified a 56-year-old Houston man as someone they wanted to question in connection with Lerner's death.
...
Fayette County deputies subsequently located the armed man inside the church, where a standoff began.
Texas Rangers and a regional Special Response Team consisting of tactical officers from Fayette, Austin, and Colorado counties responded to assist.
Authorities negotiated with the man for several hours before the standoff ended when he took his own life, according to the sheriff's office.

He could have killed that man. Then, like clockwork, you'd have a bunch of black people "standing with him" just like they did with Karmelo Anthony. Obama was by far the worst thing to happen to race relations in the modern era. I realize social media bubbles amplify this stuff, but no one can convince me it didn't really start to catch fire with him and his constant race baiting and racially divisive language/remarks.

Yes, Jazmine requested a court appointed attorney. In the signed request, she stated that had $1,500 in their bank account. They guy that got hit already has a PI attorney. If they do a little digging, I bet that the guy has acted like this (obnoxious and disrespectful behavior) before but maybe not assault and that the team, other team parents and the team's coaches were all well aware of his behavior.
