Probably about a 90% chance that the gun came from somebody's truck that they left unlocked at night in a suburb. Couldn't be bothered to actually take the "truck gun" inside with them at night, but also couldn't be bothered to lock the doors.

Spec's used to be all over town and not so fancy.

Found an ad from 1972 listing a location at 4819 Laura Koppe, which would be across Lockwood where Emmanuel Church of God in Christ is now. So either the sign got moved, or they put the sign ahead of the intersection. Looks original.

*don't ask me why I took the time to find this, but it wasn't much time.

HPD reportedly searching for body in Brays Bayou near University of Houston

HOUSTON Police responded to reports of a body in the water on Brays Bayou near the University of Houston Wednesday morning.
The call came in around 7 a.m. reporting a body in the bayou along MLK Boulevard near Wheeler Avenue.
The Houston Police Department's dive team was sent to the scene.
Details surrounding the incident and investigation are limited at this time

They come through the cigar lounge every once in a while wanting to celebrate something, and they'll buy like $40+ cigars while having no idea what they're smoking. But it was expensive, so they assume it is classy and luxurious. I have no problem with them buying them. I just know there are plenty of sub-$15 cigars that are just as good or better.
