Any word on what charges the shooter was out on bond for?

I don't know how accurate this is, but I saw on Facebook that he has previous charges ranging from carjacking to attempted murder.

Harris County judge very well could have let him out for killing someone mid-carjacking last week.

guy was at least denied bond for now, but judge te'via bell in the 339th is on this one and will probably release him at the next hearing in a couple weeks unless pigs start flying

Pretty messed up situation. Dumb kid made dumb kid decisions. By running he turned probably a $300 problem into a $8000 problem and created a situation where a cop was pointing a gun at him.

But then the cop has to be accountable for his accidental discharge. Guns don't kill people by themselves.

Will be interesting to see what the Rangers and the grand jury say.

Geez, pretty much the entire northside is just one giant, nasty cesspool. Around Christmas time I had to go to the Academy across 45N from Aldine bc they were the only store that had an item that I desperately needed for a gift. 1/3 of the parking lot was just a bunch of sketchy lookin peeps selling stuff at tables. Like a ghetto farmer's market...but they were selling knockoff Jordans, airbrushed t-shirts, and puppies...prob for drug $$$.

Also, that stretch of 45 from about Crosstimbers all the way up to BW8 N has got to be one of the most dangerous and debris riddled stretches of highway in Houston, if not Texas. I feel like I see a disproportionate amount of lost cargo along that stretch of road compared to anywhere else. Mattresses, bedroom dressers, lawn equipment...you name it...it's probably in the middle of 45N right now as we speak.

I mean it's not really even a proper crawfish boil without a little gun play.

Katrina was almost 21 years ago. The ones who stayed are on the 2nd generation born in Houston now.

Before I retired and moved away I worked with the wife of the man that was murdered. Their son was the other victim.. Got a call about this earlier today from former coworkers.

And I've known some that were the kid who made fire truck sounds up and down the halls in elementary school and never really grew out of it. And had some kind of inferiority complex that could only be solved by getting to wear a badge and gun.

This LEO will get doxxed at some point and we will see what we have in this situation.

No doubt. Also, the quality of cops nowadays isn't what it was 10, 20+ yrs ago. Simple eyeball test tells us that.
