you're not voting for the person; you are voting for the candidate who you think will most often vote the way you want them to vote in the Senate.

For me that's a no brainer - Paxton will vote the vast majority of the time the way I would want my Senator to vote. I would be hard pressed to find any issue where Tallarico would vote the way I want him to vote.

Here it is. They keep spending and spending and now theyre going tonjack your property taxes up 7.6%

This is greater than the state cap of an effective 3.5% so this will have to go before the voters in an election year. The next few court meetings will be wild. For a budget to pass you have to have 4 commissioners present but it only has to pass by 3 votes.

Briones will probably be the most vulnerable. If you libe in a city, you also pay this tax on top of whatever your city wants to increase property tax.

Looks like they're going to the max increase of 3.5% that won't trigger a roll back election, which is a public vote to approve a rate beyond the state limit.

They also set the tax rate for Flood Control, Port Authority and Hospitals, so that will be in addition to the county tax rate.

This is the proposed rate, a hearing and final vote will be 9/17 to adopt the tax rate. I'll go listen to yesterday's meeting, apparently it was pretty testy and the proposed rate passed 3-2. I bet during the hearing people are goin to blast the other Dems.

OMB: $0.67147\$100 (OMB is Office of Management and Budget) This is a composite number, but they're discussion is so discombobulated. Passes 3-2 (Ramsey and Lina descent)
Garcia: proposed $0.41525\$100, brags this will give back $24/annually. No second, fails.
