we can debate how effective it is, but it appears she's attempting to "own" the nerd label, while still calling out Whitmire for being a bully.
I thought the comment from Whitmire was funny as hell...but probably not a great strategic move.

It's probably the funniest thing I have seen in politics in a long long while. I get they have a beef but there wasn't any strategy behind it that I can think of, just a dude clowning on someone he doesn't like on the Internet. It's about the most relatable thing a politician has ever done.

Apparently court yesterday became very heated.
The whole thing starts with a discussion on executive compensation and then it diverges by Ellis to look at the lowest paid employees. If watching the replay, start at 4:30:00.
Ellis starts by stating that the county administrator to evaluate executive staff in a normalized manner.
Behind the scenes there's a lot of infighting by executive staff jockeying for funds. Harris County Toll Road director got a massive raise (40%) out of nowhere. This pissed off many others.
Ramsey brings up the massive turnover of executive staff in the last 3 years. And sure enough, Garcia has installed his staff in executive spots so he can control the departments. Ramsey takes a shot across Garcia's bow and states that the County Administrator has direct control to hire and fire executive staff. Which is a direct attack on Garcia's action. Ramsey states the county admin position needs to be defined in her ability to review and manage executive staff. Lina aligns with Ramsey.
The democrats have 2 factions. The far left, Lina, Briones, Ellis. And Garcia being more moderate and also good friends with Whitmeyer. Lina has been out for Garcia for awhile.
Picks up 5:11:00 when heat gets going. And she starts going after Garcia, most by inference where she states she had to rely on his vote for the 3rd vote. Now that PCT4 is D, she no longer needs his vote.
