My old house was at the beltway and clay - and there is a Datacenter right there at the beltway and tanner. Databank. It was a nightmare to live by. The noise was pretty intense from the cooling towers and when the generators fired up during power outages it was worse than a pizza shops AC. The diesel fumes overtook the neighborhood. All the neighbors tried to get them to do something but ultimately nothing was done. Brenda Stardig came out once and basically said she has no authority blah blah. When they started to expand it we moved out to Katy. It sucked pretty hard

I work in Datacenters so I get it. Necessary thing. Mine is at Park Row and Primewest by the academy corporate office. Just because I work in them doesn't mean I want to live by one.

1510 Primewest Parkway. Been there for years and years, I've been there for over a decade. Honestly it's a s-hole Datacenter but it's cheap and moving Datacenter sucks so it's not worth the effort to me. I just suffer with poor service and a sub par experience until they finally shut down and force me to move.

If you want to see a good one drive by Databank on the beltway. You can turn in right off the feeder to a side road and see the data halls. It's a more accurate representation of a modern Datacenter. You'll get the noise and visuals you're looking for. Logix is so old you don't get that modern feeling.

I got to tour the Switch Datacenter in Vegas when I was at a conference a few years back. Talk about an amazing operation.

My dad grew up on a cotton farm a couple of miles away from there. He would have been stunned to hear that something like this is being built in Holly Ridge.

I have no idea what your point is supposed to be. Like every commercial or industrial project, they can vary by scale and size. I just named a mid range / average project.


Total Cost by Facility Scale

Edge / Small-Format (500 5,000 SF): $6 million to $30 million. Typically modular or containerized setups used for localized data processing.

Enterprise / Mid-Scale (10 50 MW): $80 million to $600 million. Standard corporate or retail colocation facilities.

Hyperscale / Tier IV Campus (100+ MW): $900 million to $1.5+ billion. Massive, highly redundant multi-building campuses built by tech giants like Microsoft, Google, and Amazon

.dang I used to work right next door to that when prime inspections was called Offshore Joint Services. It was my first offshore job. Just looking at Google maps that area has changed completely.
