I cant stand the oh we made the world series so I am going to my 1st Astros game ever crowd. They have no idea what to do as fans. The stadium was boring from before the game started.

People selling their tickets to Braves fans probably helped with that. When I heard the cheering in the first for that lead off homer, I had to double check that it was at MMP.

the braves are like the cubs/yankees/redsox, they always have had a strong following.

The crowd was the same way in 2019, hopefully the juice box is rocking for 1st pitch tonight,

Fairly certain there was a Roy O game in 2005 I went to that was 1 hour and 58 minutes.

Sure. The sad reality of sports today is the cost of tickets for world series, superbowl, and ncaa bowl games is just so ridiculous that it prices out the die hard average fan that sat in the seats all year and provided a great atmosphere. Instead you get casual fans with disposable income.

Atmosphere always takes a hit.

Super Bowl and NCAA bowl games probably have more to do with neutral sites. But yes, price for tickets for these events is a large factor as well.

Not just that but no season ticket holders. Tickets go to the open market to who purchases them first, without knowing what teams will be participating. Once you find out who's playing, you have to go to the secondary market. Sure, they may reserve a handful for the teams, but were talking a few thousand vs. the normal 60 or so percent that have season tickets.

It's so weird that the MLB dictates that. It was paid for by Houston taxpayers for the Houston franchise. Should've just not paid for it to be retractable if the MLB can overrule our choice.
