Not much help but my plan is to ask a crew as I drive around this weekend. They will be everywhere and their boss won't be, so offer cash and likely can get one group to accept. Could be wrong but it has worked in past.

My thoughts exactly.

Or just go buy the stuff yourself to reach the branch . By the time you pay someone likely you could have purchased the equipment. Unless it's a full tree trim on an older tree.

That's your best option. Find someone out there and offer them twenty bucks to come lop it off

They are called wake winds. Pretty common in the wake of storm systems, especially lines or bowing storm structures. Typically last a few hours after a line passes.

Radar suggests grapevine, Carrollton, Plano, etc. are about to get pummeled again.

Carrollton here... yeah. Thunder and lightning, but not much rain so far. Power already glitched off and back on once.

Lot of rain where I am in Plano. This AM I finished clearing all the debris from the big storm. This one has been mostly rain with thunder and lightening. Not much wind which I will take.

Powers been out for about an hour where I am in Carrollton. Assume it's a transformer since only part of the neighborhood is without power.

Came down so hard in the Justin area you couldn't see more than 100' in front of you. 1.5" in under an hour.

Was planning on mowing at least the front yard today. Not looking like that's going to happen.

Another inch here in Coppell today - up to 6.22 in for the week. Perfect timing after laying $1,200 of sod last week.

Dumb question - Why does the rain and my trees move the opposite direction of the storm? Storm is moving west to east, but my trees (and the rain) blow the opposite direction.

After week's storms that did a lot of tree damage in the area, I have 1 tree leaning. It leans towards the exact opposite direction of the storm movement, i.e. - it leans NW where the storm moved SE.

Been trying to ride my motorcycle all week and every chance I get a storm pops up. Guess I should trade it in for a boat at this point.

Funny side story, the small ass town I live in is under a Stage 1 water restriction. LMFAO

This is unreal. I'm in Flower Mound and we've had some serious rain over the past 5 years but my yard has never been flooded like this.

We are approaching 8.5 niches of rain in the last 10 days here in far north dallas. I'm sure some areas are higher. Really incredible amount of precipitation.

My backyard sump pump went out with this last rain, I'm going to be screwed if we get anymore tonight. The back part of my house will see some water. I'm hoping the company that put it in can come out to swap it out tomorrow.

So. Sick. Of. Rain.

Yard can't take much water. Overflow drain on pool can't keep up.

I need to figure out how to disconnect it and maybe put another one on? It's in a dug in tub in the backyard so I have to figure out how to unscrew it from the pipe that shoots the water to the curb... I'm hoping that it just overheated and after a brief reprieve, it'll start up again.

I'm going to fight the next person that says "yeah it's a lot of rain but you'll wish it was raining like this in summer". No, *******, my house, yard, fence, cars, etc aren't under constant assault when temps go up. Usually it's some transplant complaining how hot 90+ is
