I filed my 5320.20 late and don't think I'll get it in time for New Mexico next week… called the NFA hotline and asked them what to do if I don't get it, and HOLY **** THEY ACTUALLY TRANSFERRED ME TO AN EXAMINER.

I told her what was going on, that it was 100% my fault, and asked what could be done. She told me she couldn't email me the form until it had been imaged and recommended to send her the form I emailed to the ATF originally and she'd sign it and email it back tomorrow when she gets back to the office.

Are you taking a SBR to NM? It was my understanding that a 5320.20 is not needed to take a suppressor across state lines.

I guess we all need to assume that Tandy agreed to be a paid informant for the ATF in return for their generosity. We should all give him bad advice going forward just to F with him.

The ATF has received an unprecedented number of E-Forms as a result of ATF final rule 2021R-08F. Forms are processed in the order in which they are received.

Current wait times for E-Form 1's are 60 days.

In all seriousness I've had much better luck getting form 4's pushed through than form 1's.

Especially the brace rule F1, because the atf won't give an avg processing time. So you can never tell your rep "I'm x days past what the atf states is the average"

I think it's by design

I think it's by design

All of mine took right around four months. That's stretched out over the past eight or so years. Everyone has their different averages, too, and they're probably all different from mine. They're never going to be on time or sooner, as advertised.

I just don't get my hopes up.

345 days since certification
638 days since I registered for the BOGO with SiCo.

I don't get it either… it's not integrally suppressed, it's just a proprietary can mounted on a 7" barrel.

Well I just got some wonderful news. I'm at 260 days and I reached out to my congressman to see if I could get some help. This was last week. I finally got a response this morning and I am delayed due to FBI NICS check. That's firearms background check. I have a damn conceal carry license. What a damn joke. I'm so pissed. I don't even know where to go from here. Can they just keep me delayed indefinitely?

I feel your pain, but if it is for a Form 4, you're probably looking at around a year (maybe more). NICS check is standard, but a concealed carry permit is granted by the State. It typically has little bearing on ATF and its procedures for NFA items.

Sorry for the bad news.
