Shop I use for my Form 4's telling me individual files are going quick, but Trust files are still taking forever.
669 days here so far and still waiting. Trying to go for the OB record in the other direction.
Also I know I can contact representatives and such, but I just don't have time to deal with it right now.

I'm still waiting on an individual Form 4 from November 30, while others are being approved in days. Makes Zero sense.

You should try working for them as a consultant. There's a reason everything costs 2x as much as it should.

Is it worth the wait for a trust or better to just do an individual file to get it quicker?
That's correct. I used the trust that Silencer Shop offers. After the trust is created, you can add someone to it with a simple notarized amendment document.

Yes, multiple users/possessors can now access and use the suppressor. In addition, if I die they simply take over the trust and don't have to go thru the approval process to legally own any NFA items listed in the Trust.bkag9824 said:agracer said:

Just know that any one listed on the trust has to submit photos/fingerprints any time you apply for a new item.
I have one of my son's on the Trust and the gun store I use has both our fingerprints (digital) and photos so anytime I get a new NFA item, I give them $200 and they submit all the documents, fingerprints, photos and we wait.
It might have to do with the type of trust you have but I believe you can remove and add people at your discretion. This allows you eliminate the need for everyone to be fingerprinted by "removing" them from the trust and then adding them back in at a later date.
I am currently debating doing this again but the recent individual approvals in days has me questioning rather or not I want to file under trust.

Can you transfer an item into a trust once purchased and approved under an individual file? Or does it go back through the approval process since you've technically changed ownership to the trust?
You can transfer from an individual to a trust, you just have to pay the tax stamp again. But you will also get to retain possession while it is processing through the trust review.
Anyone here recently submit a form 1? I forgot how damn buggy atf.gov is and it's not letting me get into the payment window . Just keeps giving me a "payment error" message when I try and pay the application.
13 months to the day I get approved. Ironically enough I emailed my congressman and senator two days ago
FYI - make sure your pop-up blocker is turned off when submitting your Form 1, if you have issues not getting to the payment screen. Finally got that sorted out this morning.

I had a suppressor take 2.5 years but that was due to 2 issues with the dealer. That's a long time!

Minor issue with the dealer but the major delay was no notification that the stamp was denied. So I waited and waited. There's a little more to it than that and I probably could have gotten a few months sooner had I stayed on top of the dealer and ATF. Oh well.
A guy in my office just got a 22 can approved in less than one week. E-file single sure shot (Silencer Shop?) trust. Anyone else hearing about times like that?

For trust I have not heard of any less than about a month, that is great though!

I was going to order another .556 can bc of approval times and can't find anything in stock
418 days and still waiting
I was going to pick up the Scythe if this one went through really quickly. Now I am thinking I should just order it traditionally through trust.
