So just over 7 months.
Still waiting on my paper form 4 from December 2021 (mad at myself for not waiting on the e-file option so I could have picked up both not just my 22 can today)

That sucks they didn't do a batch approval and throw your paper form in there. Did you call or just see the approval email?

I hit 6 months today on efile. Filed two more Monday and have a paper form from March outstanding (don't ask why it was a March paper form, I'm pissed). I'm crossing my fingers for a batch approval when it's time.

Talked to my lawyer friend in Ft. Worth about this the other day, given the recent SCOTUS decisions and their impact on various law/guns etc.

He told me that there is currently a law suit in Federal Court in Ft. Worth that is pending. (He does a lot of Fed Criminal Cases & hears a lot of Court House scuttle butt) However, he also said that so far, the ATF has already admitted that a Silencer is not a gun. His words.

No idea how this is going to play out. ATF is not going to want to lose that slush fund, but there are a lot of law suits going on around the country that are taking down regulations piecemeal. This may be one of them.

Don't know who the Plaintiff is but I'd like to donate to their legal fees.

I hoped for a batch approval, but guessing it went different paths since one was paper and one was e-file. Still crazy that the "90 days" took 7 months, yet they can't get my paper one done from 4 months before that.

I am 5 days behind you submission wise.

I have 8 days until my night time run and gun event I was hoping to use these cans I bought at....218 days ago.

With my luck, they're going to clear Friday morning. I'm going to drive to Austin, pick them up, do a rough ass zero on my way back through town, drive 6 hours to Oklahoma and hope everything works okay as I function check them by shooting a dang competition with them.

eform4 submitted through Capitol Armory March 9th- approved October 22nd (227 days).
eform4 submitted through Capitol Armory March 9th- disapproved after 227 days.

The attached info for the form 4 did not match the information filled out on the form 4. I called Capitol Armory Monday morning and was told "our paperwork people will reach out today or tomorrow".

Wednesday afternoon I finally get an email. In summary, it basically said "Our system uploaded an incorrect file. I don't know why, but I told programmers about it. There is no system in place to allow changes to eform4s so now we have to resubmit, here's the paperwork".

So 231 days after I certified my eform 4, I get to start the clock all over again. And since the best answer Capitol Armory had for the error was "uh, I don't know".....guess we get to just cross our fingers and hope they dont screw this one up too.

I don't blame them for the outrageous wait times or the insanity that is not being able to correct electronic form4s (I've had to correct eform1s before and gotten quick approvals afterwards), but their "lol, we don't know why it happened, here's a little store credit, good luck, see you in another 230 days" response is pretty frustrating.

CA has been expanding rapidly and seem to be biting off WAY more than they can chew.

Recertified my pistol can today for attempt number 2.

Original certification date: March 9th.
Disapproved October 22nd (227 days)
Certified new form 4 October 27th (232 days).

Back to the back of the line, apparently.

I'm really hoping there was a big surge at the rollout of eforms and that they're going to come out of that soon and get closer to the 90 day timeframe. I'm about a month in to the wait on a BOGO silencer that came from a purchase in November of 2021. I really am not looking forward to another six months.

You got me curious so I looked: two certified march 9, two more march 14.

One approval and one disapproval oct 22 same examiner.

One approval oct 31 from different examiner.

Last approval today (nov 2) from same examiner as the first two i got back on oct 22.
