Half the stuff I laugh at on TV is fake. I laugh at animated cartoons that my kids are watching. Star wars is still one of my favorite movies and it was fake 40 years ago. Every action movie ever made is fake. Most really large boobs are fake. But these are all some of my favorite things.
Point being - that was a damn funny clip and I'll laugh when I watch it again in the morning.

So I am terrible at identifying snakes but i am trying to get down the 4. Obviously not a rattlesnake, coral, and colors didn't look like a copperhead, but that head shape was screaming venomous to me. I know head shape isn't 100% but isn't generally the exception the other way like with a coral snake?

I suspect the Ch. 2 anchor read the copy wrong and it was a 12" snake based on the hashtag. But still...there are no venomous snakes in the US that reach 12 feet in length, and a 12' coral snake would be about 3x the record length. Seems like pretty simple knowledge that would keep one from making that particular error.

Coral snake won't get past 2.5-3'.
Longest venomous snake in TX won't get past 6'10" (I think that's the current Western Diamonback Rattlesnake record) eastern is around 7' (I think) and they aren't in TX.
Actually the record Eastern Coral is 47.5". Texas Coral can get to around 40". But anything over about 30" is pretty huge for them.
I stand corrected.... 3'6" is giant 3'11.5" is the record.

Saw this bad boy on the road today. Was traveling down hwy 84 between Las Vegas (NM) and Santa Rosa. Bad iPhone pic as I didn't want to get out of car with holiday traffic to get up close.
Looks like a mojave to me but I'd have to grab a field guide and check the range.
