Looks more like a darker copperhead to me. That light colored band through the wheel is more of a copperhead pattern. Venom out either way!

The color difference is almost always there between copperheads and cottonmouths. Since copperheads are the more upland species they are colored more like fallen leaves (specifically oak leaves) while cottonmouths are darker brown to blend in with their preferred wetland settings.
I'm certainly not an expert and please correct me if I am wrong, but Copperheads have their name for a reason and all the ones I have seen are pretty obvious and do not resemble moccasins...at all.
