Yeah, I get wanting to ensure they don't get a return. However, give a team with 1 TO and a kicker who has 60+ yard range the ball at their 35 with 10 seconds, they have a legit chance. That was not some totally freak thing that just happened in a league where touchbacks go to the 35 and freaky long kickers are not so freaky anymore.

It could be, but I'll admit that I didn't think the cowboys had a chance to win today. They just always seem to play terrible against the ravens. They had their chances, and should've won, but that's besides the point.

I don't think the eagles are very good this year, and I could see the cowboys pulling out the division at 10-7. The defense has improved week to week, so far, and the offense is damn good. Lots of season left.

They can still win. The issue remains the same for the second year running where you are asking the offense to play perfect to win. If they dont your head coach through decision making and your defense will blow the game.

Ah I stand corrected then. He's a great guy and great Aggie. I've met him personally and super genuine dude. I was just basing it off seeing many interviews of him as qb of the dolphins and titans. He comes off as a bit of a bimbo, but glad to hear that's not accurate

I think the fact that him and Lauren are extremely good looking probably unfairly gives them bimbo vibes

It's week 3 and my emotional connection to anything football is pretty much numb (which is fine by me). Aggies are toast, but the Cowboys show promise.

It's all about just getting to the playoffs, having it all figured out and being healthy at the right time. This loss stings and shouldn't have happened, but for the time being they are fine. I'll keep watching and we'll see what happens.

Any updates to the injuries from yesterday? I fear this battered secondary is going to make Stroud look like Tom Brady.

Winnable stretch of games coming up, and could be 3-3 or 4-2 before heading to Philly in week 7. Despite giving up 30+ points, the defense showed improvement over last week in my opinion. Hoping they can get some guys back and continue to improve week over week.

Yeah, Bell had a pretty rough camp/pre-season... my understanding is he was kept purely as a special teams guy. But 3 big injuries at safety and here we are!

Cowboys are a mess with injuries man. I forgot that we don't even have our best O-line guy. But it's been pretty bad league wide... ton of big names / starters going down this year.

Notice the same technique is being used on both sides of the field and the ref whose job it is to look for and call holding (the umpire) does not pull his flag. The head ref's primary job is looking for action impacting the QB. Yet he calls this hold

I've never considered NFL referees "good," mostly because their job is insanely difficult and at times almost impossible. But to start this season, officiating feels worse than ever. Every single game I watch features at least oneif not severalgame-changing calls that almost always favor the offense.

Yesterday, Bland got completely plowed over, called for defensive PI, and it extended the drive for seven points. The exact same thing happened in the BroncosRams game. Playing defense is already hard enough with the rules so heavily tilted toward offenses. They don't need extra help.

The league needs to cap pass interference at a 15-yard penalty, move touchbacks back to the 25, and fix a host of other issues. I love offensive football as much as anyone, but when defenses are fighting for their lives only for opposing offenses to get bailed out repeatedly, it ruins the balance of the game.

The Bucs should be an easy win, their backup is former Kansas QB Jalon Daniels who frankly is just not an NFL player. Really no idea what the Bucs saw in him. His YPA in the preseason against camp fodder defenses was like 5.4. That's non functional.

The Texans have lost to three good teams, two of them at the last second, and have a defense good enough to at least slow the offense down. That's dangerous with our defense being as bad as it is. That will be a tough game.

The next nine games will decide the season, we only play three "good" teams and two of them are Philly who hasn't looked great. SF is the only game that would be a surprise to win. We really, really need to go 6-3 or better and beat Philly at least once. That puts you at 7-5 with two games left against Washington and NY. Then you need to find one win in that brutal three game stretch in December to get to 10. I tend to think 10-7 wins the division this year.
