I hope so. As a draft nut, it's been a hard pill to swallow watching 3 of our last 5 first rounders used on offensive line. So boring as far as draft nights go.

But I give Dallas a ton of credit for hitting on the picks. Guyton was the biggest risk of them all and it's great to see him really starting to turn it on!

Pretty unfamiliar with most of the assistant coaches so looked-up the OL coach. He was a career college assistant before coming to Dallas, most recently at KSU where he coached Beebe. This unit has a mean streak for sure.

If we can through this one with a win, those 10 days off will help get some guys back in the secondary.

What better a scenario to need a win then a short rest rookie QB who looked totally out of his realm.

Doing a quick rundown of TBs current roster. With a rookie QB, man, this appears to be a team lacking top end talent. There's not really anything here that worries me.

But one name did stand out... Josiah Trotter is having a helluva rookie year so far. I really really liked this guy during the draft process. Wish we could have snagged him!

Eagles are in trouble!

They are all professionals so there's time to turn it around, but it sure looks like a team ready to death spiral. Bunch of off-season chatter about locker room issues and no confidence in QB1.

just goes to show that it's next to impossible to stay on top in the modern NFL. It's all about timing...and all about QB1. They're likely still a playoff team, but I don't think they're a SB contender by any stretch right now.

Not sure they're even a playoff team if the defense doesn't get it together. They have a bottom 5 offense in the league with their current OL and injury issues. And with the NFC West and NFC North being so stacked, it feels very unlikely that the East or South will get more than one team in.

Houston and Tennessee sharing the same dungeon of the AFC South is pure gold!

Sounds like the Eagles franchise collapse predicted by many over the last year is really starting in earnest. They have the biggest cap disaster in history looming in 2028 which will either be accelerated by Johnson's retirement or worsened long term by it depending on how they designate it. They're riddled with injuries and the locker room is turning on Hurts and Sirianni. Rosemen is reportedly looking for a way out to avoid dealing with the fallout that's coming over the next few years. The only way they'll be able to field a team in 2028 and 2029 is going to be extending old washed up players to lessen their cap hit and have a disproportionate number of rookies/UDFA contracts. And that's assuming the cap keeps going up at the rate it is, if it slows at all it'll be even worse.

They're in a lot of trouble going forward

Not arguing with your because it's my understanding that everything you said is true... the Eagles are the #1 offender when it comes to "we'll deal with that later".

But there are other teams doing the same thing, most to a lesser extent. I was affraid the Cowboys would be dealing with this in a couple years once Dak's contract expires. But the way he's playing, it only makes sense for Dallas to give him an extension (maybe we do it EARLY this time!) and his dead cap void years will push out into 2030 sometime.

Really hope tomorrow night is the Christian Parker coming out party. At home against a winless Bucs team with a backup QB. Would like to see multiple takeaways, multiple sacks, and the Bucs held to under 20.

It makes more sense for Dallas to do it because we have a good QB and we'll be in QB hell anyways in a few years. The Eagles are already in QB hell but are tied to their awful QB long term and it is only going to get worse.

Rumor is that Roseman somewhat knew all of this would be coming and he wants to be a college GM and operate in the NIL space. Roseman has done whatever he can to maximize the 2024-2027 window knowing he'd be gone by 2028 to not deal with the bill.

I think this was after week 3 and pretty sure he had zero catches. Guy was very much like Zeke and many other pros... once he lost a step, he lost all the other steps at the same time. Guy went from Pro Bowl to cooked overnight.

But for now, they are in first place and they beat our ass.
