No, there were definite improvements... last year, teams were picking up 20-30 yards like it was a routine 5 yard play.

I can't get over how NY literally dinked and dunked us all game for 5-15 yards per pop. Dart always found the open man, he always made the throw, and the receivers always caught it. I can think of 1 play where Nabors slipped coming out of a break, otherwise it was uncanny how they just kept drives going all friggin game long.

Dallas D takes a ton of blame for this... I'm not in any way trying to sugar coat any of this. But I just can't believe that NY was able to execute every drive this way without somebody messing up.

To clarify... ASU put up 70 in 3 quarters against Morgan State (who is now 2-1 btw). I don't care who the competition is, if you play another team full of college athletes and put up 70 points in 45 min of football that is insane.

They were a very good test for the Ags and we struggled for 3 quarters with them. But we didn't trail at any point in that game and ultimately won by 28. Good win!

and the Cowboys make another average QB look like a pro bowler....

Dart was the FIRST QB EVER in the season opener to have 3 passing TDs, over 50 yds rushing, and over a 130 QB passing rating.....

Agreed. I think that win will age well. ASU could contend to win the Big 12 and we beat them by 28.

There are some things to be concerned about on our end, but I am confident OL play will improve as the season continues.

Reed Harris is going to be playing on Sundays.

Even though Dart was throwing to wide-open receivers all night, you have to give credit where it's due, he looked legit. He showed off a strong arm, great mobility, and a level of control over the offense I honestly didn't expect. Our total lack of pass rush definitely helped, but regardless, he played a fantastic game.

Yes. There were times where we had pressure and guys in his face... he still made quick decisions and delivered perfect balls.

Doesn't excuse the defense, but like I was saying above, the dude just kept throwing darts (no pun intended) and the receivers caught everything close. He did this over, and over, and over again the entire 2nd half.

One positive, I think, is Steele and Guyton played really well. Our OL should be just fine.

Our offense in general looked really good... frigging defense just refused to let them play.

Pickens had a bad game in terms of drops (it might have just been 1 drop, but it was a big one), but you can easily see how this team can put up 30+ per game if our D will get off the field.

Thanks for clarifying. It felt like he had a couple but I couldn't remember exactly (much of that game is a blur and no way in heck I'm doing a re-watch like I normally do).

But the guy still got separation consistently and felt like he could have taken the game over at times. I think George will have another big year for us... Week 1 was just not good for Dallas. Let's see if they can regroup.

I think one of the drops had an offensive penalty so it wouldn't have counted, but still...he can't let that happen.

Realist me thinks they didn't appropriately address linebacker or defense as a whole and we will only win in shootouts.

I'm thinking / hoping some of it could be the defensive coordinator getting some brutal on the job training that will benefit him down the line.

I'm hoping that Dart just had the game of his life. He looked like Jordan Love out there. Love served up a beating worse than anything Rodgers did to us because it was just so brutal and unexpected.

This game had so many similarities to the Playoff game against the Packers. We got destroyed by a QB we underestimated. Constantly got ran on for 6-8 yards a pop. A killer back breaking interception thrown to their defense. We couldn't force them to punt. Defense was on the field for 45 minutes.

Game was just a massive letdown and demoralizing to even watch

As much as I want to complain about Dallas not winning a championship... and it's 100% justified with some of the teams we had with Romo and Dak... I'm equally as confused why Buffalo hasn't won anything with Allen.

Will see what happens, but this wouldn't be the first time the Bills look unbeatable with him at QB.

That's easy, Sean McDermott held that team back. Kind of like Schottenheimer with the Chiefs and Chargers. This year might just be Buffalo's if they can stay healthy.

Main task for bills now is keeping allen healthy as he is older and still likes to take off. 2 weeks in and they look like world beaters BUT its a really long season.
Hoping the boys use week 2 to get right and we have a solid team going forward.

They need to get better on defense still. They are not good enough there imo. They've given up 62 points through two weeks and a crap ton of yards. With Allen you just need to get a few stops a game against the elite teams.

I agree. The boys defense is so bad and the offense isn't quite strong enough to overcome that deficit. They just arnt disciplined enough. It was the same issue under MM. They shoot themselves in the foot with penalties or mental errors. Dak ceedee and pickens have to play near perfect for this team to win.

I think Cowboys bounce back with a nice win against Washington
