On the other hand, his personality profile and life circumstances fit the profile of the kind of person the spooks (or other bad actors) will groom (and if necessary nudge) to commit these kinds of acts.

To dismiss the latter as a legitimate possibility prior to a thorough, honest, and transparent investigation, carried out by responsible authorities WITHOUT a conflict a of interests, is intellectually dishonest.
Are you really saying that it is likely that he was approached to assassinate Trump in spite of having no "qualifications" that would indicate that he could possibly pull it off?

At the very least, can you point to any assassination attempt at which a kook like that was chosen by others and financed to attempt the assassination? Even just one?

I am open to actual proof. I am sure that by now they have a great deal of detail of his banking information, his travels, and his internet history. In the unlikely event that some twit was stupid enough to pay him to do it, that will come out.

What I will not do is assume the least likely explanation is somehow magically true.

Gee, I dunno.... how about the most obvious example... Oswald. Kooky. Alphabet agency connections. Spent time in Russia meddling in foreign policy. Expendable. Fall Guy.

Eric76- there are no records of employment. He has had numerous charges filed against him including federal and he has never spent a day in jail. You do not fly all over the world free. Some one or group were financing him.

Who are the persons that want Trump eliminated from continuing his return to the presidency? Should they be investigated. Or, are the investigators behind the attempts on Trump.

Democrats will pull all stops to prevent Donald Trump from returning to the White House. They are a threat to the democracy they claim that Republicans are a danger to.

Yep. Once again proving the statement that Democrats are doing what they accuse Republicans of doing.

If he was making $3000 a week, then he was being financed by someone. For all we know it could be our tax dollars going to him to recruit fighters to Ukraine. Even though he was kicked out of there, I do not trust the government to be efficient enough to shut off the spigot.
What kind of idiot would give him $3,000 a week to do something that he wasn't remotely qualified to do?

Bobdag - you may be partially correct. But, how would Soros learn of him to finance Rout? Could someone in our government connect the two?

Eric76 - someone financed Routh. Routh had no source of income but he was flying all over the world. If Ukraine financed him, who connected the two initially? Some one in our government?

Do the marxists in our government, media, former politicians want Trump dead? They all have said as much.
He reported income of $3,000 per week and had no savings.

And the Ukraine told him that because of his age and total lack of military experience, he was not what they needed. Why would the Ukraine have paid his transportation: Why would anyone pay to have him fly over?

Of course, conspiracy theorists don't need any facts since they just assume whatever facts they need to support their beliefs and feelings.
Once again, you are completely missing the point. He wasn't fit to fight, but he was recruiting mercenaries to fight and someone had to help him get that close to Zelensky. You talk about people with no evidence, but you prove time and again your hatred of all things Trump blinds you to any possibility that there are those who will do absolutely anything to keep him out of the WH. You would accept a fact if it slapped you in the face.
This has nothing to do with my opinion of Trump and my opinion that he is not fit to be President.

Routh is nothing but a kook. It is hard to imagine any rational or sem-rational person financing anything for him.
It has everything to do with that Eric! You prove it time and again. Tell me, how'd just some ordinary kook get the connections and globe trot like he did? Who set him up with his connections and got him an audience with Zelensky?
At the bail hearing, he showed that he had some income but no savings. I have no idea where it came from. It might easily have been from some criminal activity.

But you talk about facts. So what facts are there to show that he had no income? What facts are there that show someone paying his way over seas?

All of his political donations show unemployed. So he had no job or he lied when filling out donation forms. That is illegal.
Are people who commit tax fraud likely to fill out donation forms?

When I was practicing in Baton Rouge, Barry Seal's brother was my client & friend; his name was Wendell Seal.

FWIW, he NEVER (wink, wink) told me haunting stories that implicated Bill Clinton, Hillary, George & Jeb Bush, their dad, and many, many others; so Hilary, if you're reading this, I hope I don't die under mysterious circumstances.

He wrote the letter in advance to be opened in the event that his assassination attempt failed. It's pretty simple.

The letter does show that Routh is certifiably crazy because he implies that he would somehow be able to pay someone to assassinate Trump after he failed i.e. after he was dead or arrested.

Is that rubberbands or electric tape he mounted that scope with?

Okay part of me says if he did that then he is no government operative but the other part of me hears the Feds saying: Agent 1: "How can we make our asset look more like a loon?" Agent 2: "I know, take his scope off the mount and duct tape it to the rifle." Agent 1: "Brilliant!"

Because it was entered into evidence in a public court filing. It could have been filed under seal however the DOJ chose not to.

More than weird...SUSPICIOUS in fact. Have to question when it was written and why. IMHO, it lends more to the idea the whole supposed 2nd assassin attempt was a SS ploy to divert attention away from the Butler, PA SS failure, i.e., "See...we're on top of the recent failures and are now proactive and reliable." lol

Why else would the suspect admit failure in advance???????????????

Unless of course...it was pre-planned.

In court, an exhibit is a document, photograph, or other physical evidence that is presented as evidence during a trial. Exhibits are used to help prove a case and can include animations or other devices. An exhibit is in fact evidence once it's entered into record. You can call it what you want but it's evidence.

And as I said it could have been filed under seal but the prosecution chose not to.

Defense exhibit 1 is interesting

You lack the imagination needed to employ revolutionaries. The leaders of revolutions don't want to have drinks and ideological discussions with their true-believer recruits. They want them to strap on a bomb vest and blow themselves up or, more commonly in the western world, to die in the act of using a rifle to assassinate the target. Routh is exactly that type of guy and very useful to the puppet masters.
