But he has Valeryon blood right? Idk. I haven't read any books outside those for GOT.

Neither does Corlys' ******* son.

Corlys has distant Targaryen blood. The Targs and Velaryons were intermarrying a lot back in the day

Was it not mentioned or implied by the envoy sent to Rhaenyra that they seem to be waffling?

Also there seems to be inter Green factionalism with a Aemond playing king, Aegon disappeared and now reappeared, and Ormund propping up Daeron, so maybe they're not sure who to support while Aemond is vanished.

And yeah, as good as the episode was, story-wise, very unsatisfying. No big victory for either side really, just a whole lot of innocent death.

Very reminiscent of The Bells, except this one at least made sense.

Also, admittedly I had gotten pretty tired of Haelena depressed every episode, but it was disappointing that her story ended like that. You can't tease us with that dream of her on her awesome looking dragon.

What a terrible finale. Idk what to say if you like this.

Had all season and nothing much happens, fine whatever, one big battle.

How is any of this plausible?:

- Daemon the dragon rider riding in the van on a horse
- Switching to dragon mid fight, but walking on the ground?
- getting back on the mf horse
- him then fighting that green main character 1 v 1 for 10 min in a massive invasion
- letting Olf run out to his dragon mid fight, while the city is surrounded, with a green body guard
- letting hugh run around with a stupid war hammer
- kids being ran out right in front of the main gate
- aegon and aemon bro scene
- "you have 6 dragons, you just have to wield them" for into only ****ing battle of the season with just 2 (one traitor) and fights the battle with 0
- nobody knowing where Olf was and having that pus green find him so we get a full flacid ***** and poop laugh
- stabbing the high septon and just chilling there after


What made sense in this finale?

MVP: The guy playing Aegon, hilarious and magnificent.

Positives
Rhaenyra pulls off the very rare TV lesbian hit it and quit it

Great siege warfare scenes of men getting scalded by acid going up the walls

Matt Smith vs. whoever that big guy is for the greens was a good fight.

Head Crazy Old Man Stark shoving a dagger up Hightower's ass.


Negatives
Pretty much everything else.


Unfulfilled wish
That in the middle of Rhaenrya's speech outside the sept, someone in the crowd had yelled, "Nobody ****ing cares!"

That would have been pretty funny! I did enjoy the speech, though, as it pretty much put the bow on top of her switch from "It's mine b/c dad said so" to "I'm the only important mother f--ker here!" She is the Mad Queen.

(even if she is right about the danger in the North)


I agree with y'all in being disappointed in not showing Ulf get run down. I also don't give a crap about Haelena. Super boring

When the only two scenes I have liked in the last two episodes are the parts with Aegon, pretty much sums up this show has gone to crap.

I am rooting for Aegon at this point. Rhaenyra is a mess.

I love how Ormund's entire plan hinged on a drunk loser who fell backwards into being a dragon rider.
