Pacing has been weird for me this season. We started out strong with the action first couple of episodes. I know the last three weeks have been dedicated to story development, but definitely feels like it has slowed down.

This is all i keep thinking about. I had high hopes of getting back on track after the first 2 episodes, but then the pacing of the overall story came to a screeching halt. With only 2 eps left this season, i'm very skeptical that that this story gets wrapped up in a satisfying manner with only 1 more season..

Ok, spoiler time...so how does this season end???

I think we get Battle of Tumbleton 1 this week. And end the season with Aemond finding Vhagar and continued insanity in Kings Landing.

Series never needed 4 seasons

I always watch the making of the series, The House That Dragons Built that shows behind the scenes on each episode and he was very happy about his character's death. That it was what he hoped/expected. IRL the guy seems like a good dude.

It's cool to see how they do all that stuff. They showed Ormond throwing up a soup mix over and over. Kinda gross but he was a trouper. That actor has been in a lot, recently a movie with the actor that played Jamie Lannister about the 1066 stuff. Pretty good.

I think fans really projected his character on him and he was drained with the amount of vitriol his character received.

I also think that the writers of the show vilified him far beyond his reputation in the books and he had been pretty vocal in his support for GRRM.

I thought it was more that Ormund is clearly a nasty violent person behind the royal facade, so its more like verbal and physical abuse and just having random people killed..and thr prince seems more like a soft spirited person like his grandfather.

Ormond also was implying that gwayne might be a little light in the loafers joked about Daeron keeping his back to the wall.

Hugh: Flying around on the corporate jet, eating at the Westeros equivalent of Michelin Star restaurants, and wearing tailored suits. Comes back without securing any additional money or a house.

Kat: While moving from Kings Landing to Tumbleton gets sexually assaulted and/or robbed multiple times, forced to house enemy soldiers which attempt to assault her, father gets killed, wearing cheap clothing, and eating a rationed food supply

At least be a little fair to Kat's PoV when Hugh comes back offering nothing but his blue balls

The episode did a good job of showing Rhaenyra losing it but that's been trending that way all season. Basically more of the same.

Honestly, most of this week seemed random and disjointed.

• Cole meets a super random and anticlimactic end. What was the point of him this season?
• Hugh's wife has this terrible thing happen to her a few weeks ago (the assault scene when the soldiers were in their house), only to find out that's happened a bunch while she was traveling and she's really mad at her husband about it? Bro doesn't get any credit for trying to help their family?
• Ulf just shows back up in KL and bumps into Daemon? Seems pointless but maybe something comes of that
• There REALLY needs to be a point to Sheep Stealers rider or that's going to be in the running for dumbest storyline of any of these series.
• That's how Sea Snake gets it? Random guys in the woods that were last seen in Tumbleton (think I have that right) happen to find him in the dark, and one of the primary characters dies with a whimper and in no key point of the overall plotline?
• I'm trying to remember if there was any point at all about Aegon's storyline this week while they were burying the guy in the woods. So they buried the guy shallow and said they were going to catch a boat to Essos. Meh...

Yeah the sheep stealer story feels wasted. She ran around the island all of S2E8 just to find a dragon and then the episode ends. And not much since.

Sea Snake isn't dead, just kidnapped by the Hightower terrorist cell (or Ferrix rebels if we have a time-travel crossover)

I could see something like this playing out - Rhaena (she does have a name here, not just "Sheep Stealers rider") arrives back in Kings Landing on Sheepstealer (somehow), and confesses to Rhaenyra that she caused Jace's death.

This is contrary to the story that Daemon has told Rhaenyra, when he plopped a random torched head on the table in front of her, and said that was Sheepstealer's rider, and Jace's killer. This causes a major falling out between Rhaenyra and Daemon, with consequences.

Do most of the main characters have names? Next thing you'll be telling me is that WheelChair Boy and the guy they always called "Basterd" in the original series had names too!!
