Only gripe I had is why wouldn't a dragon torch the rope they were tethered too?

KOTSK was arguably the best book adaptation ever put to television. It was a 10/10 for me.

That was a pretty damn good opener, but I could have done without the Captain Strongwoman vs Ser Corlys Blackwash dual.

Otherwise the music was really, really good.

Super cool to see Tommy Flanagan. Had to look up IMDB to figure out who he was.

Tried to watch Game of Thrones tonight and instead got Pirates of the Caribbean Part 7.

The whole Aemond/Alicent scene was uncomfortable as ****

I don't remember noticing in the past, but when she got tossed off the dragons back I was pulled out of the scene thinking "nice yarn."

Obviously not surprised Jace died, but could we at least have a few misses from the randos shooting from the deck of a moving ship? Not everyone is Robin Hood ffs.

Furthermore, as soon as his dragon dipped into the water that other chick should have prioritized burning any ship within a mile of where he dropped.

It's the more the idea that they're so good at it when they theoretically should have no experience at all doing it. What could they possibly practice on?

i definitely was thinking in my head that Jace was going to have to comically explain how he lost his dragon. But the stupid theatrics of how he insisted to go to the battle was very obvious.

I guess I just gave up on fire and blood and dont recall the specifics of how he died.

The broad strokes of how things play out I kinda know but this is new territory for me.

I just know I don't care anything about the velaryons piece of this saga and would have not been able to tell you who any of them were aside from Corlys yesterday. It for sure required repetitions of the names so I knew who everyone was.

Like Star Wars making up stupid stories to fill the gap and appease shareholders needing more "content," the velaryons are just the same.

This is not a spoiler given how the GoT series played out, so everyone should be free to scroll on their phones during a velaryon scene.

This. Dragons are presented as "gods", so unless Vhagar had shown up, they should've met little to no opposition. There isn't supposed to be an answer for dragons. The whole theme of the second half of season 2 was whoever had the dragon advantage would win the war hands down. Apparently not if they can be killed so easily by humans.

We're saying the same thing. The pirates have been intimidated by the Verlaryon fleet all this time, but nobody even bats an eye when the dragons show up. The ease of killing a dragon in HOTD is getting to be akin to the "rarity" of having a Valyrian steel sword in GOT, where every other person seemed to have one.
