I find myself really respecting Criston Cole's committment to bang as much royalty as possible while also being Lord Commander. He makes Jamie Lannister look like a virgin by comparison.

I Rewatched the Blood & Cheese section and It does make no sense that there were no guards whatsoever in the entirety of the royals apparments, that's not something that can be explained by Cole being with Alicent because he can't be the only who was supposed to guard all of It

My thought on why they had Haelena walk in on Alicent and Criston is that they're setting up further division between Alicent and the 3 kids.
Once Aegon finds out that Criston wasn't at his post because he was busy banging their mother (assuming he was supposed to be guarding that room), I imagine there will be a lot of infighting, similarly to what I'm sure will happen in Team Black once Rhaenyra finds out what Daemon did.
I mentioned this I think right after the episode, but I still think one of our major characters will flip before it's all said and done. No idea who, but gun to my head, maybe Alicent.
Would be incredible if was the person who kicked everything off.

Aegon and Cole seem clearly to be on the same page already. My guess is he also already knew they were messing around. Thats why he's working with Cole.

Too much testosterone in this thread. The most horrific choice she made was which child to save. That should nevar happen. That's why I like this episode. It's not red wedding. It's worse.
Is the Kings Guard still split between Rhaenyra and Aegon. Did Aegon replenish the number to a full 7 when some left to serve Rhaenyra. Also only having 7 Kingsguard because of religion seems like a bad policy.
Not a book reader ( well, not gotten to that part of Fire and Blood yet). I really felt nothing with the kids death. It seemed to me they were trying to do a GoT WTF moment, but it didn't hit at all with me. They really should have done more to introduce the characters to us. I really don't care anything about those two kids or the mom. They just seemed like random characters because we've barely seen them.

I felt the same way. There are o ly a couple of characters that seem like decent people.i feel like most of westeros is like whatever, let them kill themselves
