Nothing more than what has already been said. Show is off the deep end now and haws become a cringe fest of recycled drama and dynamics. So many holes and ridiculous set-ups that I now feel like I'm my dad when I was young and here him say "That's stupid! Insulting that they want us to buy that!". Used to think 'just shut up and watch for the entertainment value'. Wife and decided will heed my own advice and watch it all the way through just to start what we finished. It's now entertainment value with a low ceiling, but it is what it is. Stoked for 1923, we loved 1883.

FYI - it sounds like this season won't be available on Peacock until after the season finale. They don't stream while the season is airing.

Y'all nailed most of the issues: Beth, Monica, etc, but the one i wanted to touch on was the wolves.
this is ridiculous on SO many levels. First off, if a pack of predators is attacking your livestock you 100% have right to terminate. After they thermaled the wolves and then figured out what they'd done it requires no more than a phone call and scene visit by the game warden and the issue is done. But beyond that, YOUR BOSS IS THE EFFING GOVERNOR AND HIS SON IS THE HEAD LIVESTOCK AGENT , so even if it wasn't legal this problem goes away in 5 seconds. the whole thing is just lazy.
also, like y'all i laughed at the old lady throwing the whiskey glass. it was horrific. and then the ridiculous broken glass sound effect. oy vey!
( FYI it took 3 seconds for me to google it and ITS 100% legal to kill wolves in montana, regardless of their facebook status. )

I mean they touched on all of this a little....I don't know the accuracy of it all, but the first issue was you could tell the wolves didn't attack the livestock, it was already dead. They were hunting them because they now knew the taste of meat; not sure if a game warden would agree. Second, they didn't get the necessary permits and didn't want to involve Kayce because of the loss of his baby.
Yea, whether or not it is legal in real life, they set it up that you had to have predation tags to kill wolves and they shot them before they attacked the livestock so they were SOL the moment they pulled the trigger by the guidelines that the show set-up.
I am also getting to the point where I feel I have to see this through, but I am getting tired of the lazy story lines and forced scenes with Monica and between Beth and Jamie. The previews look like some good things will happen soon to get me back engaged, but last season did the same thing and we all know how that was less than stellar writing for the most part.

Yeah, overall losing interest. Decided it's not worth upgrading my cable package. Will follow feedback and if it's worth it will watch when the seasons over on peacock.

And they obviously do **** the shady and dumb way a lot, even if it's not necessary. Not saying the show isnt lazy or inaccurate. That just wasn't a scene I really had issues with. Plenty of others, most that have been mentioned here.

I binged the show this summer so there's so much I don't understand. I used to love Beth but now I think she's a psychopath (obvious, I know). To this day I still don't understand the "gang" aspect of working at the Yellowstone nor do I understand the finances (I'm a finance guy and every banker on Earth would lend Yellowstone cash to pay their $7mm property taxes p.a.). Even if it was unsecured debt, who has priority in a default? Rainwater? No, that's basically impossible.

Plus, my impression was that they worried about the PR blowback if word got out. Wouldn't look good at all for the Yellowstone to be slaughtering wolves that have Facebook followings.
The wolf storyline I'm almost positive Sheridan took from a real life incident where the real governor of Montana shot a tagged wolf from Yellowstone Nat'l Park that was 10 miles outside the park. That wolf shooting was a violation as the governor did not complete a mandatory trapping class beforehand. I think he ended up with just a written warning.
Sheridan probably thought with Dutton just taking the governorship and Kayce being the head livestock agent, a little scandal like this might make for a good side storyline especially with his goons trying to cover it up and further not having the shooting permits.

It may have already been mentioned, but Monica, wanting to bury her newborn on the ranch gives it an Indian burial ground identity. That may give Market Equities pause on their construction, but could it also lay a claim on the ranch for the Native Americans in the future?

These are the special California vegetarian wolves that never tasted meat before. It's a problem. I know folks that ate a hamburger and never went back to salads.
