Not gonna lie, I cried at the end.

My 14 year old daughter (who's been going to opening night with me since ep 7) did too.

Call it a "bad movie" all you want. It's pretty close to the movie I wanted as a fan. And that's enough for me.

No, that's what I mean. They did the same thing in TLJ when Rey says to Chewie "tell Finn..." and he growls and she's like "yeah, tell him that"

It's just really weird to build something up like that and then not pay it off.

Expectations were low going in (and I actually liked The Last Jedi) but my initial reaction is that it was a ton of fun and that Abrams basically stuck the landing.

Unanswered questions:
1. How did Maz get Luke's lightsaber
2. What Finn was going to say to Rey (presumably I Love You)
3. How Palps survived
4. How Palps created Snoke (if you can create that powerful of a creature what's the point of everything else?)

Only one of those I could figure out was #4. Looked like in the first shot of the Sith lair/base there was a vat of Snokes/Snoke-like things. Cloning maybe?

Yeah that's what it appeared but Snoke was so powerful why even mess with Kylo and Rey. And/or how did Palps make Snoke so powerful?

Liked how Kyle would point at people and give orders like Han.
Also liked how Kyle was going to say something to him and he says 'I know'

Thought the medal to chewie was overly pandering.

Overall I liked it. Have to watch again

I liked it. Biggest hold back was that I just think too much. In my head judging the movie as I watch instead of just enjoying it. I always go to opening night alone and I think this is one I'll enjoy more on the second viewing with the kids. I went in excited but cautious and the second time I'll just be able to enjoy it more.

Beautifully shot. Daisy is obviously an attractive lady but in both JJ directed films I find her stunning. I don't know what lenses or lights or filter he uses but man she's gorgeous!

My main question is what did Leia "do"? Max says she knows what she has to do and it will take all she has left. She then basically lays down and "dies". Kylo and Rey have their moment. Rey stabs Kylo and the saves him. Kylo turns good. Then when Kylo dies and disappears so does Leia. So what exactly did she do? Did she transfer some of her force to him? Giving some of her compassion and light to him and that helped/made him turn?

I just wish JJ had signed on for the entire trilogy from the get go and done all three.

I thought it was out of character for Rey to do that. There were groans throughout the theater when it happened, including me. Not sure if you all felt the same.

Leia reached out to him and got him to stop. Rey then killed Kyle and brought Ben back to life. Han then finally pushed him to the light side.

Who were some of the Jedi talking to Rey at the end? Obviously mace windu stood out. Yoda. Qui Gon?

I want to watch it again just to re-experience that part
