Yeah, going in, I was hoping for actual force ghosts there. Would have been a really cool addition, especially with Kanan and Ahsoka in live action.

You don't have to read between the lines much to see that they were all pretty much against it. So it could well have come from up top and not JJ.

Eh, I still don't think Disney forced JJ to do anything like that, or forced him to do anything at all, really. He made a TON of bad/dumb calls in the making of this movie. It's not a stretch in any way to believe this was one of them.

As much as I wanted to see some of that cool stuff from the reddit post that is likely BS, I can forego it all to not have to deal with a stupid Finn/Poe homosexual relationship.
I heard that Tom and Shiv from Succession were going to be characters and have some erotic Shiv-Poe-Finn 3-way scene with Tom watching. But then it kind of fizzled because Tom wasn't into it, and we got two roots making out instead.
That reddit post lines up perfectly with the conspiracy theories about all of the rewrites by execs. Not shocked to see it getting peddled right now.

I'd be interested to see if they filmed any story arcs that made sense, but had to be cut for time. But thats just to see more Star Wars more than anything.
To combine the reddit conspiracy theory and Reylo, I think there was some poor editing around the Ben Solo arc. TROS tried to make Ben Solo and Kylo Ren two different people, but it was very muddled. There isn't really a Reylo because she didn't kiss Kylo Ren, she kissed Ben Solo. She didn't stab Ben Solo, she stabbed Kylo Ren. So it is ReyBen.
I hate the faction of DC fans that worship Snyder and think there was a major conspiracy involved to sink him and DC together.
Snyder sunk DC himself. The movies post-Snyder and Justice League have been decent (Aquaman) to good (Shazam) to great (Joker) all because they were made by competent filmmakers who aren't complete hacks enslaved to sepia lenses and faux-intellectual grimdark tone.

Just got out of my 2nd viewing. For all its flaws, and there are many, I think I liked it better the 2nd go round. Maybe because the info overload of the first act is easier to get through?
Stuff I liked:
- A Y-Wing finally getting their dang props and blowing the crap out of a Star Destroyer(did they ever get to do anything cool ever? Is my memory crap?)
- I think the prequels and sequels made me sick of C3PO and while they dang near overdid it with him, he was a great comic relief and I fell in love with that character again.
- I didn't notice the first go round that when Rey healed Ben his scar went away too. That was neat and a great way to herald his transformation.

I think in RO a squadron of them took down a destroyer, also.
Saw it last night, thought it was pretty good. The best of the new trilogy IMO. Didn't care that some of it was Harry Potter in space, but overall enjoyed it.
Curious about the legs this thing has, went to the 7PM IMAX show at the Marqee in Houston and there were maybe 20-30 people in there.
