Will be a 5 part mini-series with an episode dropping every week. Looks fascinating, especially since I'm set to take a Chernobyl tour this summer. Surprised a full scale movie was never made over the incident.
nope looks as depressing as I can imagine.oragator said:
Looks unimaginably depressing.
agree with everything - except the bold.... I'd need a REALLY big bucket for this to make the list.A. Solzhenitsyn said:
I got on a Chernobyl kick awhile back and read a few books about it. Say what you will about the commies, there were some brave men out there who knew they were going to die and went out to fight the fire and contain the site at all costs.
Definitely on my bucket list of places to visit.

Yep, no kidding. Where else can you hunt 3-headed bears?oragator said:
If they want to end the series on a positive note, the whole region has become something of a wildlife haven. With no people, hunting etc, many populations have thrived, despite the radiation,

Looks interesting. Will likely set back nuclear power another 20 years.
It should be a lesson on socialism vs. nuclear power. Incompetence and sloppiness everywhere. And lack of resources to manage it properly. Not even having a working disometer available at a ****ing nuclear power plant. The Debt said:Hagen95 said:

Yep. That's the goal here.
Just like that Matt Damon anti-fracking film.
This is what I'll say about them:A. Solzhenitsyn said:
