So we've reached the point where something became so popular it's time for the backlash and claims that it's actually not that good
I realize this post was probably made in the general sense rather than being directed at me personally, but just for the record, I'm not that guy. I don't hate things simply because they get popular. I just genuinely didn't enjoy this book. If I found a random copy of it in a library and didn't know a thing about it's cult following, I'd feel the same way.
I have no problems with the trailer - I think it actually looks pretty cool.
Ha, just in general and definitely not meant to be,
"if you don't like this you're dumb!"It just appeared that we have a massively popular book that's now getting the blockbuster treatment and suddenly there are articles saying,
"is it really that good though actually?"... Just seems like it's the same thing that always happens with hugely popular items... Just like with
La La Land and bands, i.e. Coldplay, Mumford and Sons, etc...
I don't care if someone doesn't like it. Nothing is going to be completely infallible... I personally loved it and can't wait for the movie, especially with Spielberg helming it. Just seems like a match made in Heaven.
Also for what it's worth, like most on here, I thought Cline's follow up
Armada sucked.
