I know for sure Tig confessed to Opie about his involvement in Donna's death. Opie beat Tig down for it...can't remember if Clay was mentioned in the confession.

We also know for sure Opie knew, because it's why he killed Agent Stahl at the end of last year, because she set him up as a rat....which caused Donna's death.

Opie knows because he was asking Clay how he could trust him knowing he killed his wife when Piney busted in and took the shots at Clay in S2

I finally watched this episode. All I can say is wow. Great writing, great acting and great directing.

Sutter had a great tweet on Wednesday. Something to the extent of, "I write Kenny out of the show and they cancel his new show on the same day". Referencing his role on the NBC show Prime Suspect (which was pretty strong and I'm sad to see canceled).

He also had a funny tweet referencing Southpark and "OMG they killed Kenny!" since Kenny Johnson got killed off on both of Sutter's shows.

Is someone that is making Sons of Anarchy connected to making Deadwood? There is an insane amount of alumni from that show on SoA

I believe Sutter is just a big fan of Deadwood. Obviously a ton of guys from The Shield as well.

Did anyone catch this comment by Lincoln Potter?

In the second scene with Otto, where he was reviewing the contract, Potter asked him, "If you're selling out the rest of your club, why are you so worried about [Lenny the Pimp]"?

Otto replied that he wouldn't understand.

Potter made some sort of comment back to him, "Oh, but I do.." or something of that nature.

Do you think that was just his understanding of the underworld due to his prosecution of it for so long, or something deeper?

I expect it will be something deeper. When I initially heard it, I assumed his father was in a gang and he was killed because of it.

For some reason I thought he said "I wish that weren't true" Basically saying that he knew he wouldn't understand because he looks out for his own interest.

Unfortunately I erased the episode so I can't go back and double check now.

I think there's going to be some deeper story line with Potter. When they first showed him on the street, wasn't he getting on a bike?

I'm also waiting for something to happen and him to snap on someone. He hasn't broken his calm once.

I can verify the following:

1. Potter did say "I wish that wasn't true."

2. Potter did ride a bike, a Triumph, in the season 4 opener.

Does kozik/lem have something in his contracts requiring him to be blown up? Guy can't catch a break.

Tig has Pediophobia, so the Real Dolls at the porn studio freaked him out to the point that he had to cover up the eyes with his hand. They asked if he was OK as he walked away and he made some comment about how he was creeped out...yet fully erect..

Saying that he doesnt understand, would go against what we've seen from him the entire season. He has been a pretty good puppet master, using guys like Juice by understanding what he'll do, and how he'll react.

Wouldnt make sense to me, for him to suddenly admit he doesnt get them.

Makes perfect sense to me. He can understand the inner workings and psychology behind what they do without fully understandying why they remain so loyal because it just isn't in his nature to be that loyal to anyone else. He's in it for himself, everyone else be damned. Probably never had any real friends or family in his entire life, which is why he is so intrigued by the concept.

I guess.

But it seems like if he's so intruiged, studies it constantly, and is so good at playing puppet master with the members, etc......it would be hard to make the argument that he doesn't get it.

I took it to mean he does unfortunately understand it, and that we'll find out later why.

I'm probably wrong though...and dont suspect it to be that big of a deal anyhow.

That is how I took it as well. He says "I wish that weren't true" meaning he wishes he did not understand, but he does.

I don't know. Been a while since I've taken grammar, but it seems that would only be correct if he had said "I wish that were true".
Then he would be disagreeing with Otto's statement.

But by saying he wished it were not true he is agreeing with him that he wouldn't understand.

I heard it the first way.

If that was his exact words, he said it just like you took it.

I still took it as him meaning it the other way...but like I said, I'm probably wrong, and I dont think it will be that big of a deal within the story either way.
