Romeo and luis are cia. They inflitrated the cartel from the mexican military angle but were recruited by the cia for that very purpose. That's why they had badges when they showed jax.

If you read up on the pablo escobar situation its very similar sans the infiltration. The american gov subsidized the columbian gov to catch escobar and took the gloves off so to speak to do so. Or a better example could be the iran contra situation where the gov got into helping run drugs.

I mean think about all of the mexican drug issues in the news now, it wouldn't surprise me to hear our gov is helping one side out to end the blood feud that's spilling into the states.

I thought the CIA angle was hokey too. I don't mind them informing to the CIA...working WITH the CIA...etc. But actually having badges and such...that just seemed cheesy. We've seen those dudes shoot guys in the back of the head at point blank range...mow down russians... Just seemed a little far fetched for them to whip out badges with all the authority/experience of 20 year lawmen.

And yes I'm nit picking...but this show has become can't miss for me, and I expect it to play at a different level.

Otherwise I liked the finale. Kept expecting to have some huge moment (ala Stahl last year), but that never came....and when it was over, I didn't mind. It was an awesome transition episode with all of the roles getting switched up but in believable and awesome ways (other than Romeo and his buddy). I loved Juice and the Sheriff's back and forth and if they take Potter off the show I'm going to punch Sutter if I ever see him. Freakin' love that character ("BECAUSE I DON'T LIKE YOU"...."THE GOOD GUYS NEEDED A WIN".

One thing I didn't understand...was Gemma pissed about Jax being at the head of the table? She wanted him to stay and run the club. Is she just jealous that now Tara is the ranking ol' lady? Or was she mad that Clay was still alive?

Didn't understand her scene there at the end.

And +1 on BRING ON JUSTIFIED!!! Need me some Boyd Crowder!

10 minutes into the episode the phrase "jumping the shark" came to mind. By the end of the episode, I didn't mind the CIA angle as much.

It did make me feel a little better about my question a few weeks ago about who the guys in the van were.

Anyone notice one of the tombstones in the cemetery was for a "Carl Uncer"? I thought that was an interesting name for them to put in there...(backstory?)

Overall, I thought it did a great job of setting up a lot of meaty storylines for next season.

Agreeing with previous posts...bring on Justified. I greatly prefer it over SOA. And I don't think I've missed an episode of SOA over the last 3 years.

I think it was a combo of both Tara's power and Clay being alive, not Jax at the head, she's wanted that. Clay and Tara know her involvement with killing JT. If Clay is dead Tara probably doesn't let tell Jax. Clay fighting Jax, who knows what happens.

She also sees Tara as a threat now. Tara can become Gemma and Tara is a hell of a lot smarter.

Wondering if Gemma knowing where Jax put the letters is going to play into this. If she sides with Clay trying to get his power back (for her power) she destroys the letters and Jax loses some leverage. Not sure I can buy she's so power hungry she'd go back with Clay, but who knows.

"Anyone else feel like the outdoor scenes are shot on the same location as the Dukes of Hazzard?"

I thought the same thing!

Wow...this season as a whole was amazing! A crazy ride with some major twists.

As far as the finale, I really enjoyed it. I'm glad he split it into two episodes.

Tara's "tell me you love me" was so awkward! Is she still kind of high on pain meds, and in a rage that she might not be able to be a doctor anymore? I have a feeling she will make a full recovery somehow.

I was surprised by the CIA/Romeo angle. But, in Sutter's defense, it makes sense with the story line. This forces Jax/Tara to stay in Charming, Clay to be de-throned but not killed yet, and basically allows the story to continue for 3 more seasons. If Clay was killed or Jax leaves Charming, there won't be a show anymore.

I'm glad that Chibbs got "promoted". I definitely feel that he is protective and appropriate to be Jax's right hand man.

I hope we see Potter again. His character added a bit of something unique to the show and I liked his unintentional comic relief.

What happens with:
1. Otto- how far was his execution date moved up?
2. Opie's pornstar wife and kids? Where are they? Are they gone for good?
3. Sheriff's wife who is having fertility issues...seemed to pop up once and then nothing else was said. How the hell will that come into play?
4. Opie- by him not showing up, was he refusing the VP seat?
5. Gemma seeing where Jax hid the letters. Who else has a key to that toolbox?

I really liked how the pic of Gemma/JT was mirrored by Jax/Tara at the end. A little foreshadowing for what's to come IMO.
I'm definitely watching this season over again and as usual, can't wait to see what Sutter throws at us next season!!!

Sutter changed his mind and did an interview with Sepinwall. Worth a read.

she did it very deliberately, both to Jax and Gemma. It was also said very unemotionally, so it felt like she was more interested in their responses, than her needing to get some type of reassurance or whatever.

I'd be interested in other's interpretations, but it really didn't seem to be indicative of her being off her rocker. as we saw in the end of the season, she knows exactly what she's doing and very deliberately is making the choice to be all in, and not one foot in, one foot out.

I agree, I don't think she is insane at all. I love her character. I think the question was said so emotionless that she's trying to figure out where she wants to be...with Jax/the club, or just skip town with the boys. (Later we see she made her choice to stay with Jax).

Not to mention her possible career ending injury that was caused by her oh so lovely father-in-law via hitmen.

She's got a crap ton of issues to sort through and I think that's where her line came from. She didn't react much to the responses...

I like her acting, I think it's perfect for the character. Here's to hoping she gets her badass biker old lady attitude back!

Tara has always been the idealistic person who thought she could change Jax into somebody he wasnt.

There was a noticeable shift in her when they broke her hand, and she realized what that meant.

If I had to guess, next season will show parallels between the way Gemma used to be, and is now, and show that Tara is headed down that path.

One issue i have- no way in hell a real mc lets an old lady interrupt church
AgGrad99
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Ha! I thought the same thing Thunder.

That was a good finale. This show has a way of getting things so screwed up and twisted, that you think there is no way out.....but somehow, they find a way of straightening things out, that's not cheesy, but also in a way you didnt see coming.

redassAG07
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Thunder- I thought that was odd as well. Definitely NOT their place. At first I did think it was Opie walking through the door though. Atleast, I hoped it was him.
Stive
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I thought the second set of footsteps would be Opie. Gemma surprised me.
agmatt06
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I think that was the point though. Jax like JT is different and that will be good or bad for the MC.
Thunder18
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I really think they only did it that way to superimpose the gemma/jt pic with the jax/tara pose at the end. Sutter could have easily worked around them busting into church BUT wanted to make it artsy-ish i guess

That also bothered me. I was fairly certain they had already addressed that women are not allowed in church earlier in the series.
MGS
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Maybe that was Clay's rule.
texican08
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I think they had addressed it, but I think the point was there was a new sheriff in town with Jax. A guy who is not going to be as ruthless as Clay.

...But it bothered me too.
AgGrad99
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I think the reason they did it was two-fold:

1. To make us think Opie was showing up
2. To show her taking her place at the head along Jax, in essence, replacing Gemma.

That said, it should have been done outside of 'church' because it didn't fit with the way they've conducted things in the past..

That's exactly why they did it this way, because things are different with the new regime.
